I think this has been answered before but I couldn't find it under the search. Need to take alot of tile out of my house and take it to the landfill.

It depends on your truck options/configuration. 4x2's have higher payload.

I'll stay safe at 1k. I don't think my flooring should exceed that. :fingerscrossed:

Your weight (and other crap in truck and passengers) + load weight (Tile) = Payload Capacity

I'll be sure to take pictures and get weight numbers on and off a scale when I get to the dump when I'm ready to tackle this project.

20170612_153933.jpg Just plan ahead when stopping and take it slow. Also I wouldn't recommend going over 1175lbs if you can avoid it.

Thankfully theres a back road that parallels the freeway to get to the landfill. Unfortunately for everyone else, its one lane both ways.

I have done 1500 in my 2017 and my 2015 and it did fine. When driving you sure do know the weight is back there, but it hauled just fine.

I had over 1000 in the bed and drove 6 hours from Seattle to Oregon sand dunes with no issues at all and got close to 20mpg so I was excited

~1200lbs of really badly-distributed home gym stuff. I drove slow on surface roads ('cause it was laid out badly, too much weight too far back) but I wasn't on the bumpstops or anything. It was fine, same as any other time you're loaded down - leave extra room for braking and stuff.

1100 - safety percentage (10% maybe) = weight you can safely carry.
You may also need to take into consideration GVWR which would only come into play if you have the cab area fully loaded up as well...i think its 5600 lbs on the 3rd gen

Curbs weight of a OR 4x4 DC would be around 4400 pounds. Official payload capacity is 1175lbs. My Sport 6MT Access is rated for 1275lbs.

I loaded 1620lbs of tile and grout into my bed, not including the weight of me and my passenger but truck handled it like a champ
