Haven't even attempted to fix it. It's not causing any visible issue and won't be able to really mess with it until next week. Will update.

I have a fumoto valve that came off of my old engine - you could probably go up to 8 beer time with that thing since it drains like an old man sitting down and trying to pee.

skipped on the fumoto valve and went ahead with a magnetic oil plug not sure how much it helps since the surface is not large enough.

The previous owner had it on there. I got a traditional one from a junkyard to replace it with. It's cool for what it is, but I don't drink and soda time isn't as fun as beer time

Snap I didn't realize you were in Whittier - I'm in Downey. The heck are you doing up at 5:30 - early shift worker?

Nope, I work from home. The wife is away for a week and after getting 10 hours of sleep I think it was time to get up.

I love that feeling - nothing like getting out of bed when you're bored vs. dragging yourself out of bed.

Here are some pics of the progress. I'm hoping to get the rails burned in on the passenger seat tonight.

There's various ways to go about making this swap, both @SafetyDang and @TacoDell did it by swapping rails since they are both of equal widths. The second way, which I thought was easiest was to cut the legs off the Taco and weld them to the scion rails.

    IPfXE104i6oUVaKkYaaWdKXoFgFc3hD4A7iL10Eq_c2c7751d8ef7a5b8dca5431e78273a7599061a3d.jpg

Half way into this project we decided to simplify things a bit more by cutting the Tacoma's rails off completely and weld that to the bottom of the Scion rails.

    Tacoma rails (legs attached):

Scion rails being cleaned up and pretty much ready to accept the Tacoma rails:

    And here's the mock up:

    7J0J81ZXF8hExP_WD3jCJhQeTnCwl4dhn3GcPOts_4be537146f4a618c8b813c6912c8a667f537d1de.jpg

I sat on it and boy are they tall. I'm 5'7" so I'm just fine. My guess, if you're taller than 5'10" and/or have a long torso these seats won't work for you. But, at least this gives you options.
