    Hey there TW,

Does anyone know of an affordable shop that does lift kits install, just labor. I need a lift install and was quoted 1K to install front shock, rear shock, dakars, and alignment which seems outrageous!

    Thanks!

Do it yourself. Then go get an alignment.

That's about what private shops charge for a full suspension swap/install so you didnt get a super high quote, fyi.

most make money on the parts that you just took away from them. so they need to charge the hourly.

can be done by you and friends for free.

I did mine at a mod day, so I'm willing to pay it forward! Lot easier with a few fellow TW guys.

I just used Swat Customs recently - I would recommend asking them for the price you want, but be very specific with the work you want done - including everything you need done. I asked for a certain price, they agreed, but then added on the alignment. You could ask for something like, 700 bucks total, including alignment and everything - or something like that.

A few mods here and there and counting....
I figured with all of my experience moddin' civics/intergras in my younger years, ie suspension, engine swaps, interior, ect isn't far off on lifting a Tacoma. :rofl:Gonna tackle my first lift install myself once all the parts comes in and if i need help, i know where to turn.

Brand new to this forum and just got my first taco last week... From Petaluma. Been kicking around a minor lift since before she was purchased. Have read dozens of pages of threads on options. Average skills mechanically but NO experience with lifts/ suspension. Would love to get in on a "mod day"! Even if I don't have my parts purchased or have decided on which route to go, would love to meet some new people, watch the experts at work, pick some brains, drink some beer. How do I get on the invite list?? :)
