Thanks. That's what I was thinkin. Caleb, I emailed my toyota dealer about my leaf spring recall work that needs done. the service adviser said he thinks there shouldn't be a problem with the tech pulling the AALs out of my current leaf packs when they replace with the new ones. I told them if there is a liability issue or anything, let me keep the old packs and we can pull them out during the mod day. I figured if I could get them to knock out the leafs, that'll be one less thing we need to do to my truck when we get to swapping parts. I'll just have them toss the AALs in the bed and drive around with a bit of bro lean for a week or so.

 

yea that would be a lot easier if they could go ahead and take them out for us haha

 

I think the paperwork shows just 1 of the leaf packs got replaced on mine..... what do I need to look for to get them to replace the other one?

 

You should be able to tell right away if they replaced both. I can look at mine and let you know. I have them in my garage still. I have the part numbers on them I believe.

 

I'm going to look at the paperwork this evening and see if I can tell from there... if not, I'll get under it and see if they look different (you think one w/ 95k miles on it and one w/ 15k miles would look a little different)

yea that's what I'm thinking as well.... and I havent been under the truck since I bought it so I cant remember...

 

One will have significantly more rust. Why would they only replace one? Dont make sense

Maybe the quantity of one means one set? No clue, just tossing it out there. Mine is scheduled for next friday, sept 1.

If it is indeed only one, I'm sure that @Superman910 might be able to hook it up with his farm of stock leafs. They sent hard to install, especially if thy are the same geo.

Yeah that's too far towards a proper steel bumper for me.

 

I was thinking the same. Mine isn't a swing out but $200 more and I had my full plate rear.
