Dunno about other areas but locking tailgate was a factory option on 2017 in SE. I did check on Sport, OR, Pro and Limited when I was shopping for my new Taco, they all came equiped or as an option.

Locking gate came on my Limited, with keyfob keys that fit the tailgate as well as the extra one in the glovebox. Would they fit the '16 or any other '17 that did not come with it? Very likely. But Pop N Lock is very likely the cheaper solution to those that did not get it equiped.

ahhh gotcha. Yeah, a lot of people dont realize that manufactures outsource a lot of their parts from other companies.

The premium package seems to render the Limited trim obsolete...other than the bigger rims what does it have that the Sport or Off Road with Premium Package doesn't have. Am I missing something?

Yes, It's called automatic reaction where your brain tells your foot to press the brake. But you have to pay attention in order for this feature to work.

You're forgetting the chrome, and the the rearview mirror with the built-in garage door openers

Limited standard features. Bold are items that are different than the base model

Is that literally it? I was seeking a limited due to the leather and sunroof, all parking sensors, BSM, etc. But now I may look at the TRD Sport if I can get all those options minus chrome.

I understand the safety benefit. I haven't come close to rear ending another vehicle in years. Due to the fact that I pay attention to my driving. Having all these safety features causes people to pay less attention to their driving.

Would you pay less attention if you had those features? I know I wouldn't. I really doubt people would change driving habits because of it.

Now a self driving car would be different, I'm sure there are plenty of folks in Teslas that don't pay as much attention as they should.

I wouldn't but many people would. I always see people texting and driving still. A guy got into a accident in a Tesla because he was watching a movie on a portable DVD player instead of watching the road.

I recall seeing something about a guy in a Tesla getting decapitated cause it drove under a tractor trailer.

Do you feel that if you had the dealership do the leather, it would have been about the same price or more than the limited??

The texting has nothing to do with the safety features, they are just imbecilic morons.

I've heard of one story where a guy died in his Tesla while watching a DVD. Car broadsided a trailer.

I'm sure it would of hit about the same price, fully loaded, this
one was about 39k and I didn't really care about the leather
but dig the look of the hood.

I think the only leather I saw in the LTD was the brown/tan
and that's a no go for me, were it black...maybe.

Yeah that Limited Interior is absolutely hideous! I think they make it for the over 70 crowd with that interior and all that chrome.

I've heard of one story where a guy died in his Tesla while reading TW forum.

His head exploded from BS overload. Very unsafe.

You can Google the story and see pictures from the scene, he went broadside under a tractor trailer.

Between the tailgate lock, the leather seats, and rear power window, having a '16 is starting to feel bad, man.
