Bear Mountain Oktoberfest Meet-Up

Bear Mountain has Oktoberfest from Sept 23rd to Oct 30th, perfect place and event for everyone in the tri state area to meet up. No date has been set yet but Sept 29th-Oct 1st is definitely out of the question because of the AOAA event. It will be either a Saturday or Sunday. Plan is to meet in the lot next to the Mobil gas station. Can't miss the gas station since its at the end of the circle. Address of the gas station is 98 Hook Rd, Peekskill, NY. I say we meet around 11 or 1130, BS for a little bit then head up to the festival which opens at 12.

Do whatever you want at the festival, if you're driving please don't get hammered. We will have to pick a time to leave so we can drive up to the Perkins Tower together. Spend some time there and then we leave together so we have yet another convoy going down the mountain. We'll all go our separate ways and head home once we reach the circle.

I don't like beer, but this sounds like an awesome event. I've always enjoyed seeing photos of Oktoberfest. Interested.

 

I'm definitely interested. I'll check my schedule, hopefully I can make this.

Been to the big one in Munchen 3 times.
but...this one is only 60 miles away...hmmm.

 

We went a couple a few times few years ago. There was an issue with parking, and when we arrived, road to the top was closed off... So we hiked to the top! Fun time!
Last year looks like organizers opened up a huge parking area, so that helped a lot.
Yes, I definitely want to go this year. Of course with my family (better half and almost 3 yo twins). I usually work Saturdays, so Sundays seem better for me, but if majority picks Saturday that will work for everyone else, all set what I can do.

 

Maybe have two dates. This way if a few can't make one. They have another option.

 

Maybe a poll of available days for those interested? Pick the highest 2 days? Can you choose more than one option on the polls?

 

I'll go as long as it's before we leave for Moab on Oct 13th

2 dates is a good idea. Maybe 1 in September and other one in October.
