I think Toyota must have shipped all the pyrite mica' s down here to McAllen, Tx. Evrytime I drive around my home town I see at least 4 on the road.

Lets talk about them mods. I was going to say they wont add to your Resale value but this is TX, Somebody will pay to much for a used modded F1shitty.

I regularly see 2-3 between Plano and Wylie. They always draw my attention even though they are all stock.

Excited to see it done! I saw another one that size for sale for pretty cheap but I'm broke.

Will 4.56 be enough? Might as well get a SC also! :mudding:

I have the OV tune on my 3rd gen and he is about to release a new version with more power. I heard a couple 2nd gen guys ask about a tune and OV said that it would be really easy to do on the 4.0. Might consider that avenue, cheaper than gears

Tune is a band-aid, gears is a mechanical solution

I need to see what the OV Tune is actually like. I dont feel the need for more power but maybe if I feel it I'll think differently.

I think thats the same one I saw. I was trying to find it again and failing like usual.

How is a tune a band-aid? seems to me like gears are a band-aid for not enough power.
Actually both would be pretty nice on the same truck.

The tune helps so much with throttle response, not huge power increases right now but the delay in throttle is gone.

Also it adjusts trans shifts, ect, and gets rid of most, if not all of the garbage oem mapping.

Because you are forcing the engine to perform outside it's designed specs to get specific results in specific conditions. If it was a better tune don't you think the world's largest automobile manufacturer would be using it? Changing gear ratios allows you to use mechanical advantage to spin your axles at a rate that complements your tire size.
