Nope, done with my Taco. Got an F150, and should have a long time ago.

I most likely will most likely assuming Toyota still makes it when I'm done with this one

I had a 2009 Regular Cab 4x2 I4 AT that I purchased new. Had it for 8 years. I think one time I had to take it for unscheduled service. About a month ago, I traded it at the same dealer for my current truck. This one is much bigger, sits higher, has much more space, etc. I actually got an 8 year premium extended warranty, so I'll probably have this one at least that long, hopefully longer.

As of right now, I don't ever see myself in anything else.

My next one would be a 2nd Gen single cab 4x4 with a 4.0 swap. There a couple in my hometown with supercharged 4.0s and they are insanely fast.

I grew up on Fords. Muscle cars, full size trucks, etc. previous to my Tacoma I had a '94 Mazda B4000. (Same as Ford Ranger) At 280K, it's been a great truck, but time to move on before something blows. I looked at a '02 Ranger. Seemed like a nice truck. 4.0L OHC motor. Then...... I started researching that motor. That's the dumbest designed motor EVER. I wouldn't want it if it was free. Then there's all the full size Fords that blow out sparks plugs. And all the Ford Diesels that are plagued with problems. Need to work on the motor? Gotta raise the cab 6' in the air. Jeez! My Tacoma has 198K on it and the doors shut like it just rolled off the showroom floor. It's sad that if a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge even makes it to 200K, the doors will be falling off, the interior will be trashed, and it will be plagued with all manor of engine, transmission and axle problems. They can't even make power windows that last. And oil leaks? Yep.

Mine fits me perfect. I've had it for 10 years and would buy the exact same truck again. The dealer offered me a new Tundra for the same price but I felt it was too big and I'd hit a lot of shit. I'm not a big guy though, I have a small wife (4'11") and a small dog.

Once my son inherits this one, I'll most likely get a Cruiser. That's assuming I let him have it.

Love my 13' DCLB, it does all I ask from it. Hauling tools and construction stuff all day everyday. Hopefully end of this year or beginning of next year I'll add it's other brother into the family... 2018 4Runner Off Road Premium for off roading, camping, and little bit of overlanding

Tacoma is a 1/2 ton truck. Toyota hasnt made a 1/4 ton pickup in a long time.

I love my truck and plan to drive it into the ground. I can't say what will happen in the future, but I definitely can say that I will never buy a 3rd gen tacoma.

Land Cruiser or FJ Cruiser? I love my truck, but the Access Cab is feeling smaller and smaller everyday. I've been eyeballing FJ Cruisers, I dig the VVTI 4.0 option with a 6-Speed Manual :burnrubber: Only I've never been in one, or looked at one up close.

This question made me realize I have been driving Toyota products for the past 16 years. I had a 1st gen Taco reg cab Prerunner, 4Runner, Tundra and my current DCSB TRD Sport Prerunner. My truck now is what I would have bought all those years ago if I would have had the money.

I expect to keep this one until I give it to my son in about 4 years. By then Toyota should have all the 3rd gen bugs worked out.

I still love my Tacoma (and the 2011 grill vs earlier)- only regret is not getting the TX Pro package at the time, but I got a great deal on my fully loaded model compared to what people buying a fully loaded 2015 were paying. Wish I could have a fleet including a Tundra and 4runner, and keeping my wife's V6 rav4 sport (its like early 2000s Lexus IS300 front styling pushed over to Toyota and its a whip when only the driver is in the vehicle). Tundras i'm sure are a blast to drive, and are a great family vehicle, but parking... ugh. The 4Runner is what I really really want, but I know as soon as I give up the bed, I'll need it.

And I don't want to deal with buying a new fully loaded cap for the Tacoma to make it a 4Runner, then having some type of fitment or color issue with it - then needing to find someone to buy it (who wants you to give it to them for free) when it comes time to sell the Tacoma.

My only complaint with Toyota trucks is the steering, it feels a bit too 'busy' to me, I can feel where small imperfections in the road tug at the wheel. If the road slopes to one side and I hit the brakes, the wheel will pull to that side. Both my Taco and my Tundras are like this.

The domestics certainly have better steering feel, it's just a shame the rest of the trucks are shitty.

This is pretty much where I stand too. Unless something catastrophic happens (accident, etc) I'm keeping this truck. I don't mind the 3rd gens, especially how they look. The problem with the 3rd gens is they are the exact same truck underneath the new shiny exterior. Why would I spend more money for what I already have? Bottom line, unless Toyota mans up and does something DRASTICALLY different (hint hint, diesel) they will NOT get me out of this truck.

That being said, I'm not opposed to exploring other options from different manufacturers. The small truck market is about to heat up with the arrival of some new competition. Wait and see.

My mom has an 07 fj w/ the 6 speed and it has 250k miles. Great car! If I was going to get an SUV, I would definitely look for a 6spd FJ. There doesn't seem to be many Toyota suv's with a manual as an option.. which makes the FJ a very attractive! I believe that the later year model FJ's also had Dual VVTI so they got a bump in horsepower/torque

My 95 F350 CCLB 4x4 turbo diesel with 35s runs well and might last me another 10 years before rotting out

I'll be looking at Land Cruisers. I don't mind the FJ, but the LC would probably be a better fit. If I stay in a pickup, either another Taco or Tundra, most likely.
