Thank you!!!! Handle bars were about were pretty crooked.

But a simple adjustment and I was right back on the trail.

Was an awesome ride because a storm was rolling in.

No sun beating us down, and it was 80 degrees vs 105!

Now imagine doing it at 60 or 70 mph. That's dirt bike life. Worst crashes were the one's where I'd stick like a dart. It was better to slide or roll. Nothing makes you feel more alive than inflicting pain upon yourself!

a number of years ago, a fellow that shares a name with me was out on the Greenbelt riding solo. took a digger and ended up with a stick through his neck. missed everything major and he survived, continuing to race and live the mtb life.

I started racing dirt bikes when I was 17. Didn't really hit full stride until I was about 31 or 32. Raced until I was 43. Somewhere around 39 0r 40, the pain curve crossed over the fun curve. Miss it dearly. I was pretty good at Enduro's. In addition to being a decent rider, I was good at the time-keeping skills aspect. . Met a LOT of great friends along the way. Got to see parts of the world I would have never seen.

Cool part is, you get to revisit a few of the injuries as you get older. o_O
