I had one bolt frozen to the bushing sleeve, which took quite a lot of beating, heat, PB Blaster, etc. In the end the bolt was trashed. It was the one up by the gas tank, so extra hard to get at.
I had all new bolts on hand and returned the ones I didn't need to replace.
Plus the Alcan bushings were slightly more narrow than the OEM, so later in the week I got stainless fender washers at fastenal to fill the gap. The hangers were pinching in at an angle without them. Sucked having to pull all the bolts again.
Frozen bolts aside, it was an easy job.

worst part about dealing with leaf springs is all the u bolt nuts lol

so i remember someone in here (Lloyd??) saying they had experience with wet phones in silica gel?
yesterday my dad and i were clearing a stretch of the toms river for the upcoming paddle race this sunday https://paddleguru.com/races/TomsRiverPaddleRace2017 and while cutting a log that was particularly difficult to get to, our canoe flipped and our 2 chain saws and gas powered hedge trimmers, and my phone (which was in a life proof case) all went under water. we pulled the spark plugs and got the machines fired up again, but I didnt think anything about the phone until a few hours later. when i pulled it out it looked like there was water under the screen protector, took it out of case, nope.. water under the screen. put it in a bag of rice over night, turned it on this morning. everything works but it still has a different look to the screen, like its still wet under there. thinking about picking up a bucket of damp rid from home depot to put the phone in.
just curious if anyone has any input on that.

    and a tacoma related update:

my right rear axle seal took a shit and I've had a hell of a time finding a new seal. this 3rd gen rear diff recall is creating a huge backorder nation wide on seals. luckily I found some in arizona at camelback toyota and they'll be here today. hopefully my truck will be back on the road by the end of the day.

the damp rid stuff absorbs moisture, but stores it in the bucket, essentially putting your phone back in water.
*not an expert just what i have observed from damp rid in my shed.

The Damp Rid should do a decent job. Set the phone on Top of the dessicant and close the lid. That way it will absorb the water but in case of excess build up the phone won't be in the water. Although it would take more moisture than is in the phone to not be absorbed.

Yup, I waited weeks for the o ring that goes between the rear hub and axle housing. Couldn't wait any longer and bought an EBay aftermarket o ring.

Dollar Tree has the dessicant drier stuff in the aisle where the clothes hangers, etc.
It has worked pretty well for me. My daughters tend to drop their phones wherever there is water. I gave up and required that they have waterproof LifeProof phone cases.

I'm not sure what Damp Rid is. It might be the same type of Silica based dessicant. What may have happened is that the Damp Rid has absorbed so much moisture (because of the high humidity) and become saturated. The absorbed moisture starts returning back to water (hence the water in the bucket.)

For Silica based dessicants, once they are saturated with moisture, you can reuse simply by reheating in the oven or in the microwave.
