It all comes down to just what works for you

Cruise control works great on the way home

Gotta have cruise control, for when the foot gets tired.

I use CC only when I'm driving a long stretch of speed limit zone fortified with speed traps. But then I still rest my right on the gas pedal in case I need to use brakes in hurry (the reaction time of moving right foot from under the carpet and hitting on the brake is significantly longer than just flipping a foot from gas pedal to brake pedal). CC sucks when driving any other road than flat and straight with zero traffic (like some parts of I-50 in Nevada). And unfortunately still CC is not smart enough to save gas.

To me cruise control is hanging the reins on the saddle horn and taking a Nap
