What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Clearly someone thinks that once you debadge, you shouldnt rebadge. Kind of like once you go black...

 

I actually did go back after that, but I've never been the same.

 

lol! Will the next video be how to debadge your rebadged tacoma? Cause the process must surely way more complicated.

Has anyone replaced or added buttons to the factory radio, would like to know if these blanks are usable for anything.

But you didn't add any of those did you, it came like that from the factory? What's the map card is that like an sd card slot for the gps. I don't have the gps on mine.

 

Right, didn't add any of them, it came like that. And the map card is an SD card, a little one, for the gps.

 

I was just wondering if I did something like like a rear view camera anytime mod if I could replace one of those blanks on the radio with a button for it. Or if I could essentially put a button in there and wire it to whatever I want. I haven't come across anything about those blanks anywhere on here and am just curious.

 

That's not a bad idea right there. Not sure how easy/hard it is to pop them off to be honest.

 

Yea I've never gotten back into behind the radio and don't know if you would have to take the whole radio unit itself apart to get to those buttons.

 

Did you follow someone's write up or a book? How did you know what steps to take? Any tips for a first time replacement would be well received! Thanks!

 

Finished up my tie downs last night for my fridge. I used pieces of aluminum angle, cut them down to 2inches or so and then screwed those onto the platform. Then i drilled another hole in the vertical portion of the angle and used that to attach my tie down straps to

 

Replaced my bad secondary air pump valves with a set off a Tundra. Half the price of the Tacoma valves and no cel.

 

Had all major fluids changed (Transmission (drain and fill, not a flush), Power Steering, Coolant & Brake). Have a 147,377 miles and this truck runs like a champ. Next on the list now that maintenance is taken care of is all new suspension (coils, shocks, leaf springs etc.)

 

What about differential and transfer case oils? Very easy to do.

 

I did them about 30,000 miles ago myself. Indeed very easy to do.

 

Just returned from the first tire rotation since I got my new shoes in May, then went on a driveabout from AZ to MT. Also had them up the pressure from the 29 rear and 32 front they had put them at, up to 44 all the way around. Rides much better.

 

I added something similar to the site suggestions thread three years ago. Ignore at the forum level. Unfortunately it was never considered /implemented.
