Toyota Frame Settlement Postcard

Yea, my trucks currently sitting at the dealer waiting for the frame to be delivered.
I had to go a couple rounds with my Dealer

But it's good now.
There's a few of us Rust Patients lurking around here. I'm sure they'll be in shortly. Lol.

What do you thing was the point you used to convince them to replace it in the end? Was it a difficult bout with them?

 

i am petty sure you have until 2015 for the settlement to end on your Tacoma , & when you ever go to the dealer for the inspection make sure you have one 10mm hole

 

the settlement says you only need one 10mm hole and you qualify for the frame replacement

 

I'd been in contact with Heffler Claims, Toyota, and the local Dealer since before the Settlement was even finalized. I sent emails with pictures and made phone calls, repeatedly.
My frame was/is so bad that I could almost fit my fist inside some locations and I was trying to push the process for an inspection so it was documented in their database.
My Dealer had no idea of what I was talking about the first time I went in and the following times they said they hadn't heard anything from Toyota yet.
Well, once I contacted Toyota Customer Experience Center by phone and explained to them the situation they had me in a 3-way call with the Dealer within minutes to schedule an inspection. From that point on, I was treated with the best of attitude and catered to like a VIP. Upon failing the inspection, they had a 2017 Tacoma waiting outside the next day as my loaner vehicle.

Not to belabor this point, but my dealership keeps telling me that my 2009 is not part of the settlement and they can't do anything. Has anyone with a 2009 or newer had theirs replaced?

You are included if you bought, owned, or leased 2005-2010 Toyota Tacoma, 2007-2008 Tundra, or 2005-2008 Sequoia vehicles (see FAQ 3 for a list of eligible vehicles).

 

I gave my dealer the website to verify what I was saying was true and they still didn't take me seriously. You may need to call Toyota Customer Experience Center.

If there is no 10mm hole would they still repair the rust instead of replacing the frame, or is it only a frame replacement or nothing determination?

 

I called Toyota, called the dealership, and punched my VIN into Toyota's Recall website....my Tacoma is not part of the frame recall. The 1-800-481-7948 is just a recording providing the same information as what's on the website with no option to actually talk to a person. Tonight I will try the other number you provided.
