Don't have any debt other than our cars, which is nice. Our interest rate is so low I've got no problem just making those payments.

I'm not a financial advisor. But from one random asshole on the internet, that's a terrible idea. You've seen my builds. That shit comes with time.

On the flip side my financial advisor (get one if you don't have one) makes me sooooooooooo much more money than I pay him.

PS...there is such a thing as good debt. Vehicle payments are not good debt.

I appreciate the advice. My wife and I are plenty financially stable for our age. Have a large safety net, budgeted two months in advance, put money into savings, retirement, etc. That's why when I get an opportunity like this, I fully plan on capitalizing on it. Especially because it's just going to be on armor which could potentially save my ass out on the trail and save me from other costly repairs.

yeah it does, you could probably grab power from somewhere else and use just the dimmer ground, but if ur going to run a wire from the dimmer, might as well tap for the positive too haha I mean I could probably tap off other wires, but the switch I was putting in was right by the dimmer switch so I figured why not lol a quick test with a multimeter would allow u to go off any of the illumination wires off of any switch, I just know those ones by heart since ive done it. might as well go straight to the source. I would imagine the wires are probably the same color code thru out the dash, it would make sense. but that's also why it might not be set up that way

It was money you never had my friend. Dump it into your retirement, savings, ira, cd ect and just let it make some more money for you. Do not fall for the sensation to splurge. You did not win the lottery. Someone who loved you made an investment in your future many moons ago, do not let it go to waste.

*edit I am not a financial advisor nor do I pretend to be. I am a young(cough cough if you consider 32 young) professional who made multiple investments in my future years ago. 1 investment was done 9 years ago and the other 3 years ago. Do not let the immediate satisfaction of truck parts win you over.

wise advice and certainly the decision I would make being in the situation I am in at the moment lol I'm debating pulling money out of my mutual funds to pay a large portion of my credit card off. the down fall is half my savings would be gone lol wish I had smartened up years ago financially but better late then never hahah when ur 19 u don't care, then 25 rolls around and ur like... shit lol

Appreciate the financial advice all, but with all due respect, it's my money and I'll do what I want with it.
