    Hi,

I'm total newbie when it comes to lifts and such, so please cut me some slack. Anyways, I just got a quote from one of the reputable shop here in the Bay Area for many modification to my truck and was wondering if I should go for it. Attached is the quote. IMG_6387.jpg Any thoughts?

Seems overpriced and a 6" lift is not going to get a LOT of love here. What are your plans of use for the truck? Offroading? Just street use?

Also if you throw 35" tires on this thing without regearing it will drive like a total slug.

What in the actual FUCK is going on with the quote of TEN hours for "clerancing" the tires? There's already a 3-hour quote (which is excessive) for the CMC... This clerance guy seems like a real dick. Then again, his parents had a real good marriage.

no mention at the bottom if the customer supplied parts includes anal lube, or if they're gonna give it to you dry.

reading your quote, it should be clarified to you that in fact you are paying only to lift your truck UP.

Or in other words ... your girlfriend is 5'2. She puts on some 6 inch high heels. Yup she appears taller , maybe even sexier.... but we all know she ain't going to run a marathon in them heels....

    Get what I'm saying here.

Give you chick some real running shoes and get her ready to sprint.

Oddly enough running shoes can be more reasonably affordable than some fancy Italian high heels.

Tired of typing the same junk lines as other people on here, time and time again.

Truck is for daily commute, about 10 miles a day and off roading on weekends.

First you really need to determine what your planned usage is for the truck? What are your priorities? Do you just want it to look good or do you want it to perform well too? If you never plan to take it off road maybe this lift would be OK but the prices are high here. We could tech eval the proposal and beat the hell out of it for you but is this really money well spent based on your planned uses?

I want the truck to look good Smitty and would take it off road once in a while. How much would it cost to lift a Tacoma?
