Yeah, just annoying that somebody can't read the picture that's right in front of them on the timing belt cover that says dual electrode only.

Also, finally replaced my broken door handles with OEM ones that I've had sitting around for over a year now. Now I have fancy colormatched door handles.

Been a while since an update. Just doing a few maintenance items and hopefully doing a few days of the Southern Utah Traverse over Labor Day weekend since my last trip for it got cancelled...

Front diff started to develop a leak between the driver side cv and the diff. Pretty sure the parts store gave me two passenger side seals and I've been running it like that for a little over a year now :anonymous:.
New "correct" seal and no leaks since last night.

Also finally replacing my non-working horn, putting in new LED running lights since the driver side bulb melted to my turn signal, and then cleaning up some bits and pieces to get it expo'd out for the trip.

Agreed. Add 2+ LT and it'd be perfect.

New pads & rotors done, new horn installed, insanely bright LEDs installed in daytime running lights, front bumper's back on, and in the process of trimming down and rotating the RTT rack mounts.

All that's left is to throw the RTT on, reinstall the skids, and pack for the labor day trip.

Truck looks so much taller without front bumper and skid plate...

    Yup, so beautiful.

Didn't like it when they first came out with it at Overland Expo colormatched white. Looks ugly here.

I've actually decided if my tacoma ever died I would probably go 5th gen 4runner. My biggest issue is the automatic tho..

You realize there is something you can buy that turns an Auto in a Manual. :anonymous: I'll ask my dad in the morning what it's called, but he has one for his FJC that he's be meaning to install.

manual control over an auto does not make it an actually manual.

Still has a torque converter...still slips..still has heat issues.

For what it does, it's pretty close. I figured that the auto will still have it's downfalls even with manual selection of gears.

    This. ^

But also not just this. I finally realized that I had to settle for an auto on my DD... just the way the world is. My tacoma is my pure fun vehicle/toy now. I absolutely love driving a manual, especially off-road too. I don't want to lose that :(
