But yet the quicksand color thread on TW is the largest color thread...o_O

I'm not saying that QS is the highest selling color but I would like to see real production numbers sorted by color

You're on an enthusiast forum. Colors like cement, inferno and QS are more likely to be hot colors on here.

I've seen a few cement pro's in person. The color, IMO, looks exactly the same in person as it does in pictures. It's not like inferno that looks red in pictures but is actually orange.

I think the vast majority of people would think the Cement is "silver" anyway. They are both too close in shade in my opinion to both be offered on the same model. One just is metallic and the other more like a pearl.
I do like Cement better myself, I'm over the matalic silver, too popular in the last 20 years.
I have a neighbor with a Cement FJ. I figured it was "silver" myself until the Tacoma Pro came out.

Obviously I'm not basing this on anything but my own thoughts, but I would still be surprised to see gen offer both Cement and "Silver" on the same trim level. When I heard they are going to release Cement I figured it was just replacing "silver" on the TRDs and keep the standard silver on the other trims.

When Cement came to the FJ, they discontinued thier silver silver fresco metallic and before that was titanium metallic. It isn't getting rid of silver itself it is just replacing the name and changing the shade a bit.

    What?
Look at what Tacoma currently has as a silver it is a metallic paint. Then look at Cement, it is not metallic, but there is a hint (in my eye at least) of pearl, a little bit of creamy depth to the paint (at least on the FJ, I haven't been able to look at a Cement Taco up close.

If it's metallic, I sure as heck can't tell. I parked next to a Pro, and didn't see even a hint of metallic.

Weird, never looked like it in pics to me either but I've asked
the Q a few times and each time it was a yes to metallic or not.

    Mmmm...peanut butter.

I drove a QS Pro 4runner (Marked up 4K over MSRP). I don't think it's a demand issue as much as it is supply.

I definitely don't know for sure what toyota would do, and I'm not a paint expert, but I don't think the general public is either. That's why I think the general public would think Cement is a silver like color, I know it isn't the same as the silver they currently offer, but close enough that I can't see toyota offering the two on the same trim level. There are also a lot of things I probably would have done differently if I was running Toyota, so I know that line of thinking won't always work.
I just think there is a chance that silver and cement may replace each other at least in certain circumstances like trim levels or even packages.

Also you see a lot of quicksand around my area. I don't get it because I'm not a fan, but apparently a lot of people are. Probably because it is the closest replacement to gold, which has been popular enough.

Dealer color supply is typically based on demand.
