Not trying to be a dick, but instead of repeating yourself over and over, you might want to research a bit more, take some of these guys' advice, or just get the rough country lift and do what you're going to do...

Everyone so far has been very clear that they think you should stay away from the lift you were asking about. They've given you recommendations, as well as links. All the work has been done for you, you've just got to research and decide what works for YOU.

If you spend much time on this site, you'll realize VERY few people run rough country, and when it is brought up nobody seems to have much good to say. It's your money and your truck, do with it as you will.

If you still think youre in over your head, then prepare to spend more money and take your truck to a shop.

If you cant afford what the shop is charging you, then dont mod your truck. Youre just making the ride quality/off-road capability/reliability worse, just for looks...

    Put 255 x 85 x 16 or 255 x 80 x 17 on you stock 16 or 17" wheels.

33", no lift or other mods required.

Works fine for a high % of moderate off roading, more than adequate for street use, fills up the wheel wells nicer, keeps you out of mall crawler status.

That's what the forum is for to learn, that's why even though I have a pretty good idea of what lift I wanted (bilstein 5100) I still look into other lift options people talk about on TW. Like the other day I started to consider doing the lift combo smitty has so its good to spend some time and learn about lifting your truck before you go into it.

I don't, but a quick look shows that what they have for tacomas are blocks and spacers which I would not recommend to anyone as a means of lifting their truck. It's the least expensive way, but that is for a reason.

Quality suspension brands that people are running on here are as follows:

-Bilstein (5100's are the most common, some have the 6112 and 5160 combo)
-Toytec (Most run the Boss 2.0, but some have the 2.5)
-OME (good if you are adding weight in the form of armor, and similarly priced to Toytec kits and Bilstein kits)
-Icon (lots of kits depending on budget)
-Fox (lots of kits as well, but better quality than Icon, i think)
-King (called King for a reason)

I know there are some others, but those are the big ones.

Edit: Of course there is much more to each company than the quick blerb I have in brackets, those are just the first things that come to mind when I think of each hahaha

Also, each of the vendors listed already (Toytec, Headstrong, Wheelers) will be happy to talk you through your needs and mix and match parts to suit you and your budget. Call them. You are not limited to only the packages shown on any of their websites. For example, the $500 Toytec/Eibach lift includes 1.5" blocks for the rear. They will gladly credit the blocks and include an AAL or replacement leaf kit if that fits your needs better, without breaking your budget.

Good point. Also good to talk to the vendors because if you mix and match yourself, you could easily end up with parts that are not compatible together. For example, shocks that are too short for the application or amount of lift etc.

I spent 4-6 months steady researching before I jumped into buying a lift. I would HIGHLY recommend searching the forums here on TW about different lifts.
Just my opinion but I think you would be happy with a 2" lift. You might not have your 33's but a 32 isn't noticeable to me...

I got my 5100s on all 4 corners with OME 885 coils for around $625 +\- from wheelers off-road and that was with the coils pre assembled from them. Those also came with 3/8 spacers to go on top of the coils to help with the 285s some. I'm running 285/70/17s on stock UCAS. My truck drives great and I haven't been in a situation where it has rubbed at all yet. I'm also running method standard wheels so the wheels may help some with that. I highly recommend wheelers off-road. IMG_3282.jpg
