So you are getting 4 rims and 4 tires? What about the spare? I know you are going for 35s, but still need a decent spare...

Other than the lift, the other labor stuff seems a bit much considering the things I want to add are pretty easy to install reading the review.

First go out and do some market research. Price out all of the parts he's got listed on the web. Check at least 3 different sources for prices -- 5 would be better.

Next break down the labor, hour by hour, activity by activity. Does it make sense? What is the technical level of difficulty of those tasks and activities?

Mark that shit up and take it back to them.

If the guy can't spell or use proper grammar in his quote then I start to question some of his basic competencies. Though to be fair, you don't need to be an English major to turn wrenches.... but is this a competent and savvy business operation? "clerencing tires" or whatever the fuck he wrote in there.... wow

I started buying the parts, waiting for them to arrive. Install party would be nice. Beer and BBQs on me.

It seems to me like you're trying to :curls::muscleflexing::militarypress: your truck to be different... I'd bet that there are quite a few that are just as similar to what you are tying to do as STOCK :crapstorm:.

It's like getting a tattoo to be 'different' or an 'individual' when everyone else is.

Have you tried you activities without this $7,000+ of adders?

Its just my counter opinion but I am always mind boggled by efforts like this.

I think he just wants to make it look like a Tonka truck...which is certainly his prerogative

$25 for "welder" is that for them to use their machine or the labor for a welder? If it's labor than at least that's a good deal! They get paid mid thirties around here.

He's just double dipping on the quote. Duplicative/redundant tasks. (at least that's my interpretation and how I'd write it up)

Im sure people will be interested in helping in our area. I would offer if you lived close to VA, but I assume you likely don't.

That's true, some shops get their mark up in the labor rates if you choose to not let them in on the product order.

Haha exactly! Good thing though is that is good location for many members, hopefully a burger hang out can take place.

If you're 100% sure this is what you want on your truck I say it's mostly fine. There's some stuff where they have (in the words of smitty) double dipped, and you should ask them why. I'm also shocked they are charging 125 am hour for stuff you are buying through them. The shop near me does things at 120 if you provide parts and 90 if you buy through them. You could shave off a huge amount by doing the grill/bull bar/steps on your own time and letting them to the lighting. Bolt stuff up is not hard. If I can do steps and a catback with a bum shoulder I beleive you can do it in a single afternoon and save yourself over 1k.

It doesn't sound like you're asking our opinion on parts but everyone seems to chime in on that. If you actually want 6 inches and 35s on fuel wheels, get them. I have seen the BDS install video and am not surprised it would take them that long to install and create tire clearance afterwards.
Again, if you've already decided it's what you want, don't read past this sentence...

Just know what parts of your truck you'll be compromising with this setup(mpg, ride quality, safety, power). If you won't even like to/feel safe to drive your truck afterwards, why are you spending 7k on it(20% of your vehicles value brand new)?

OP, Have you ever tried to offroad a truck with a 6" lift? Have you driven a truck with this size lift and tires to know how it handles, brakes, etc.?

Taking a speedbump at an angle will make you feel like the truck is going to roll over on you....

Yeah it can get reallll expensive if you jump in and realize "wait this actually isn't all that great"

6" is a lot of lift. Youll probably notice that your center of gravity is drastically changed, there is a lot more body roll, your gas mileage suffers quite a bit, it becomes harder to stop with the larger tires, you'll actually notice it being more sluggish at which point you'll have to make the other couple grand decision on whether or not you want to regear, etc etc.

It might look great standing still for a picture, but you still have to drive the thing.

The BDS is a Drop bracket lift, no? These still require cutting frame or cross-members? Pretty much no going back once you cut it up like that...?
