It don't take a very big open spot for one to go thru. One could go thru that open space in front of your grille. Saw one jump from a high bank right in a guys windshield a couple years ago. Wonder it didn't kill him and his wife.

 

Order them from TRDParts4U. Half the price of a regular dealership parts department.

Each section of the tonneau cover is 24", so a 48" long basket is as long as you can go, and still open the last section, and only half way, as seen in the pic.

I have a Yeti cooler that will ride in the basket, so cold drinks can be accessed without opening the tail gate... and it'll look so cool having that cooler in that basket...IMO.

 

Those beefy hooks only come standard on the Off Road. My Sport has a cheesy recovery point but it is not as robust as the one on the off road.

 

Caster makes a huge difference. I have 275/70/17s and they had no rub when my caster was at 3+. I took it in for an alignment recently and the idiot tech moved my caster back to 2 on both sides and now they rub on the cab mount at full flex when reversing. I need to go back and have them adjust the caster back to 3 or more.

 

Did the 500 mile break in oil change and put on some TRD door handle stickers.

Shrockworks sliders just delivered. Ordered on June 18. With dimpled tread plate, powder coat and shipping, came to $808. Very solid...near 65lbs each...wish she had a HEMI.

My thoughts exactly! Most bolt on sliders have three tie down locations.

 

Pricing isn't bad but the 2 frame tie ins is pretty not awesome! SDHQ sliders are much more expensive than that however they are supported end to end and tie in at 4 locations.

edit... and made out of chrome-moly so lighter and VERY well made. All TIG welded too.

That's definitely not designed with a safety factor, that's too much weight to distribute in only two spots.

 

Shipping the mammoth box from Houston to Virginia was $174...sliders $634. Bought a bumper from them in 2009. Wanted to support the shop again.

 

Got a quote for fixing the paint on my rear passenger side where our office assistant backed into me. $1677

 

Picked it up today and got two coats of primer on already

 

At that price I would spend $750 for a good fab fours bumper and fix the quarter panel. Might come out cheaper and have a real steel bumper as a bonus. Maybe some TRD Pro taillights. I am (sort of) itching for someone to damage my stock plastic bumper so I can upgrade.

 

Hard to tell but is the metal deformed? Looks like most of that is paint transfer. Could it be buffed out and pocket ins money for mods?
