We have the no change Friday rule, and holds true 99% of the time. Then it depends on criticality and whoever has the on-call for the weekend. I made the edits for a change today, but I won't download and test it on the machine until Monday.

Just had 3 huge dust devils blow thru and then what looks to be a very strong microburst just hit with very strong winds , dust and debris everywhere

Now that really sucks! Thankfully that hasn't happened where I'm at now, but I was left with a major change on night shift once. Engineer was fed up and just went home. I called him and he said he didn't even take his laptop home with him. Told me to do whatever I needed to do to get it going, and let him know in the next morning what I did. That was a fun night but I was was able to do enough to get it running, found a bunch of other stuff that needed to be fixed in some calculation loops, and left that for him. But, all in all, it's situations like that that helped me get my current position. I hope to work into a position where programming and training is all I do. I did training with a new guy most of today actually.

I parked the Jeep away from the trees and street lights so it's less likely to get wacked by anything...of course once the wind starts blowing all bets are off.

Well I guess we aren't going there tonight, but I guess there's another place local.

I remember a bunch of little places around here that are long gone. I guess when 190 was improved, all those little places went away.
