It is mostly paint transfer but there is a little metal deformation and it went through the paint at the back edge. There's a tab broken off in the bumper cover so they think that'll have to be replaced, which they have to paint. I was hoping to avoid insurance (for her sake, mostly), but damn.

Wanted to get a steel bumper too. But in Canada they are like 1000 (typical ripoff)
The plastic piece is like 200 ugh I dono

Unless she has an accident history the repair costs and claim are relatively minor. If it is a friendly coworker you might could work with her and her insurance and find most parts cheaper from TW members or ebay to help minimize the claim. Just a thought.

You would be better off packing a toolbox, grab a buddy, cross the border, buy the bumper, install it and drive back across the border. No tariffs or import fees.

I'd love to buy one too, but it's gonna be aluminum, not steel. Too heavy.

And he PM'd me later and only charged me $75 for the advice. Wow, we have some really generous people here on TW, but like he said, it's a small price to pay for saving me thousands! LOL - JK....

Thanks bud, working on the bed rack right now. Should make some progress today, or atleast get the cross bars tacked.

Figured since my Toyota Care free oil changes were all used up, I picked up these to make my oil changes cleaner and easier. Also got the moon roof tinted to 15%. Huge HUGE difference in the amount of heat reflected. Well worth the $45. IMG_3001.jpg

Finally got my OME lift installed along with LR UCAs. Also couldn't get the OEM style switch to work with Cali Raised ditch lights so I tossed it and got a Scion switch to fit and work perfectly. Next up, new tires. Screenshot_20170825-204335.jpg Screenshot_20170825-204359.jpg

I was going to do mine but two places wouldn't do it as they both said there have been incidents of the glass sun roof shattering on a hot day.
