 It would be nice to be a KBRO!
Called up sams and the Dynopros and grapplers should be easy to get a hold of.
Too bad they only have 2 choices in the 255/85 range. Some BFG M/T's and wrangler a/t's

I'd really like to see what your truck looks like with the 255s on them. I'm still torn between 255 and 285

I have 255 85 16s on my 01 and really like them so far.

255's don't need a lift at stock height, so easier than dealing with the 285's. I've seen @BDub 's in person. they look good. Skinny 33"s for the win!

I'd love that size tire, it's more of a matter of getting a price that's decent. This is all that's Sams offer's in 255/85/16.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
I like the KM2s for off road but man do they suck during the winter time. I'm on my second set now. I used to drive 33 miles each way in cali and they sucked down the gas. Of course I'm running 285s and a 6 speed manual trans. I know you're looking for a killer deal now but IMO keep looking till you find someplace with the tires you want with a deal of some sort. Nothing good about handing over a decent amount of money for something you don't like.

Edit: Where else have you looked? My local Dobbs has Coopers and they are cheaper than the KM2s you listed in that size.

I went to a Audio Installer(who will remain nameless) today, to get an idea of what I wanted, and price range etc.

The quote was $1200, for new wiring, new Kenwood performance series speakers, and two amps. That price didn't include a subwoofer or the tweeters. It included the installation for the sub, and a amp for it though. The guy was really friendly, but...well I'll just leave it at that.

The subwoofer thing, he tried to see if he had a box that would fit behind my seat, and he didn't have one. He tried finding one online, and couldn't. I told him about the JL boxes for around $600, and that I know of companies and people here on TW, that can get/make them. He said that even if I got a box made for $200 or so, it would be $500 by the time they put subs in it.

So that's $1800 without tweeters, which I would want new tweeters. He said it would be $300 more for the tweeters. $2100 for a system with some "average" Kenwood speakers? (Nothing against kenwood at all, that price just seems a little high for the quality of the speakers).

Does that seem high to you guys? He was cool, no pressure from him or anything. He didn't even get my name, just said to come back or call if I want it done. I just wish he had more of a selection, he basically only carried Kenwood speakers, and RF subs.

I'm going to get a few more quotes before I do anything. If I'm going to be spending over $2000, I'll probably wait until tax time, and may as well pay JML Audio a visit, to see how much they would be.

Man that still seems a bit much. Thought about buying a complete kit from ********* then just taking it to a best buy or audio express for install?

Not much they can mess up. Door speakers and tweeters are easy enough i can show you. Im not good about the wiring for subs and amps though. But i can tell you i had no issue with the direction/help of my brother. All the wires are neatly tucked away too.

I've been told by more than a few people, to stay away from the $1 install, if you know what I mean. It's a hit and a miss with them, from what I hear.

I thought about the ********* kit, or the OEM+ one is supposed to be pretty decent as well. If I recall, both of the higher kits from those places are both around $1500. I'm guessing another $500 at least, to have it installed somewhere.

I'm still in the Infancy stages of planning this out, I'm going to hit up several places and see what equipment I want, get prices. and see who I would be most comfortable with doing it.

That seems a bit much for install still.
The $1 install is crap. Because theybjust throw it all in there. But if you buy outside their brand and actually pay the labor of install it shouldnt be a crap job.

I had the $1 install from audio express on my last car. They did a pretty nice job.

FYI I'm on the phone with NTB right now, they are running a buy 2 get 2 free. Its kind of a gimmick becuase you have to buy they're premium installation package but he quoted me 4 of the Cooper St Maxx tires, installation, road hazard, and 3 years worth of alignments for right under $1000. Is it worth it?

    For maxx's I'd say yea.
I was quoted about $800 for the Cooper at/3's for the same deal.
