    Hi All,
I have a 2005 Tacoma, 4 cyl with an automatic transmission.

My problem is I'm change the cooling system bypass pipe. In order to do so the intake manifold needs to be removed. I've removed the two nuts and three bolts and disconnected all the hoses and plugs. The manifold will not move. I tried tapping it with a block of wood and a hammer, no luck. I'm afraid of cracking the manifold if I hit it too hard. Any Ideas????

Well you are correct. I found two bolts, removed them and DAM! it came off. Thank you for the help. I would like to find the engineer how came up with this PLASTIC BYPASS PIPE idea and beat him/her over the head with it.

If they save $1 on a plastic pipe and 1,000,000 trucks that's $1,000,000 and we are stuck with the results.

I seriously think engineers have office pools going to see who can get the most ridiculous idea into production.

Make sure that you get the correct updated Metal Replacement Pipe. 16268-75110 is the bypass pipe in steel, The gasket is 16258-75021.
