    So Force Friday is Sept 1st. Anyone have any plans to pick up some of the new Star Wars sets? I know I'll pick up a couple to maximize the double VIP points and the gift with purchase. Additionally the old fishing store will be available, I don't think it will be as hard to get as the Saturn 5. However I'm not taking any chances and will be buying it day one.

    Should I be worried that after bag 4/12 I have some leftovers? :confused: been cruising along through the build and following the directions...I wasn't expecting any spare parts!

    Typically there are always spare parts. Particularly small peices like 1x1 studs and tiles. In this set you'll also get an extra astronaut.

    Basically if it's a tiny peice you'll get an extra in case you lose one.

    yep, they're all 1x1 tiny pieces. I wasn't expecting extras so I got worried thinking I missed something!
    And a stow away astronaut! :eek:

    its awesome....and huge.

    at least a couple extra of the main, curved body tiles would have been nice just in case too!

    So I have no self control...originally planned to save this until winter to build. The box has been sitting in my living room all week, taunting me. I caved last night and did 2 bags. Woke up this morning and dove in again...10 more bags and 7 hours later...

    @Mitch @EODTRD you guys seem to be the only other ones with the Saturn V (so far :boink: ). What'd you think? ...biggest pro/con?
    I love it, so glad I got it. I fear I may have started a new addiction...when's the Space Shuttle gonna be released? :popcorn: :popcorn: :popcorn: :popcorn:
    Mine would be (pro) that that piece count is the same as the year of the first moon landing - 1969 (cheesy, I know) and (con) that the main (white) command module doesn't have a hatch/windows like the splashdown/grey module! WTF!?!

    I have yet to build mine. I am more of a collector of lego in boxes rather than builder. This pains me since I want to build and display all of them. I have to wait till I move back to the mainland. There I hope to buy a house large enough to display everything. With that said I plan on buying another Saturn 5 to build this time. The only con I see is that there want be a whole fleet of NASA sets.
