I really like the looks of those older Tundras. Id throw some bigger tires on that, a shell and be perfectly happy. Well maybe the full size 4-door model...

Sold my clean (unmodified) 05 LGT with 5MT and 85K miles to purchase my '15 Access Cab Sport. Got tired of the constant maintenance. It was a fun car, and I always regretted not going stage two with it. But the truck is so much more versatile.

Like txfireman I have a problem letting things go... I always buy used and look hard for well cared for one owner, reliable vehicles. I bought the '05 Tacoma TRD access cab 6 speed manual with 92k about 9 months ago, thinking in would sell my '06 F150 supercab but I've got too much blood and sweat in the Ford and it's been a fantastic truck, it's got 190k and is in fantastic shape. I love the Tacoma, but I'd probably sell it first.

I also have a '01 Avalon with 230k, I keep it so many daughter has something to drive when she visits, drives better than some new cars I drive when I travel and rent! My wife drives a '06 Avalon limited, I just put new plugs and COP's on that 3.5L (huge pain!) - 125k on it. My daily driver was my '99 Honda Nighthawk 750, only 15k and bulletproof! I work from home now, I miss riding every day! I have a '76 Bronco in the garage that needs some work, the most fun of all of them! Twin-stick low range transfer case and tranny with 35" swampers and goes anywhere. Also a '74 Honda Nighthawk 700 classic that I need to find a starter for. No car payments, but I always need more tools!

96 ranger i4 5sp with 309k. To slow to have fun and not family friendly. Got 06 sport 132k. Definitely fast enough to have fun and take the fam with.2014-07-25 18.36.55.jpg 20161228_090217.jpg

I had a 2012 Nissan Rogue SL that I traded for the taco. We called that car the death trap. It was a magnet for people to cut me off. Hated it.

Had a 94 ranger King cab. Got rid of that shortly after putting the ex and older child in the jump seats and baby in carrier up front, when her heater core popped one night. First time I ever saw a heater core NOT poking through the passenger side firewall. Had it towed....

It was a damn good truck. The access cab even had enough space to lay down and sleep in the back... Cannot say the same for the AC Taco lol

Traded a 2010 Jetta SE for my Tacoma. Back story on the Jetta. My wife bought it back in 2011 and drove it for 2 years. In 2013 we were moving across the country back to her hometown here in Chicago. At the time, I had a 2006 Mustang GT convertible with low miles and it was paid off. We sold that Mustang, paid off the Jetta, drove it across country, and had money left over to buy her a new car. I took over the Jetta for almost 2 years. I will admit it wasn't that bad of a car especially after lowering it and tinting the windows. It was paid off and didn't have a single issue with it. Threw snow tires on it and it was a little tank in the winters. Never got stuck even while lowered.

Sold my 05 F150 with 89k miles on it in fall of 2014 and bought my 15 tacoma in April of 15. Absolutely loved my F150 but being young and dumb I made it entirely impractical for daily use.

GS350. Not much room for kids and doesn't off-road well.

Sold my first love for the down payment on my taco. My first vehicle, a 1985 K10, truck was immaculate, extremely badass, fun to drive... but broke like it was going out of style. Every week it seemed like something went wrong and major repairs every month. 8mpg got pretty old too. Owning the taco has been like living in a dream!
