Got down to 72 deg About 0500hrs this morning and now the heat is on , they're saying 109 deg for my area today and now under a Excessive heat warning

I've had this for awhile but haven't put it up at my new place until the other day . its very accurate especially wind speed and will be interesting what it'll record when the Santa Ana's start next month

It doesn't have wind direction but typically winds only blow NNE TO SSE up here

I've worked on 12 cars so far. All piddle shit stuff that no one else would even consider.

I have to keep punching the time clock and it's not moving.... And I can't run the hands forward.

So, when the day is over, and you've worked on 100 different things, and the time clock shows you've only worked for about 2 hours, how do you get paid?

 

Sad and I miss him a lot, however he had a hell of a good life. Around 1,000 people showed up for his funeral at the little church in the Valley on the NY\Pa. border he touched a lot of lives in a good way. Can't ask for much more than that in the end I guess.

If I read it right your considering going out on your own. He did that and the 2 most important factors to consider long term are retirement and medical. At least IMO and don't know what you currently have. Some options out there now that he didn't have for medical like obomacare but who knows where that is headed. And it ain't cheap. Then there is retirement. When I last checked the Social Security website for project retirement earnings there is a warning that says after 20XX they will no longer be enough funding for SS and amounts can change.

 

I'm confused. They tell us how important it is to evacuate, but then they come and stay thru the storm. If it's going to be bad wth are they doing staying thru the storm?

Oh. Well, let me put it this way. I was never explained the importance of retirement savings. I was always led to believe that SS WAS retirement. I didn't figure it out till it was WAY to late. I also never fit into the "norms" of society, so everything that was set up for "normal" people like union jobs and government jobs, I didn't fit into. So basically I have what I've worked for, which isn't much. So, I will probably NEVER "retire". The best I can hope for is to slow down a bit.
Then I will die.
