Already had allpro ubolt flip and super bumps, bushings $20, still cheaper for me. Plus deavers or icon springs $700.. darkars have a good reputation on here.

Gotcha, I'll most likely be going the same route soon but with the heavy kit. I have a shell and will also be building a storage unit for the bed so I need the extra help for the weight.

I thought the CS047R was the standard duty Dakar since adding a D29XL was an option to make them heavy duty. My packs have 7 leafs total, 5 main and 2 overload, so how does that compare?

Yeah, I think the hds or the all pro expedition would serve you well!! I'm with much less weight, for now!!

So can y'all please clarify this for me. What would the ride feel if I got the heavy dakars and not carry any weight on the bed.?
I'm concerned about losing lift when I put armor down the road, but that would be all, I don't plan on buying an rtt

Dakar pack, and if you need more lift they make an extra leaf for the whole pack called like the dxl29 or something like that

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure. I'm still looking for clarification too.

    What I know so far:

    CS047R
    5+2 leafs, 207 mm free camber, 182 lbf/in (main) and 392 lbf/in (overload)

    EL095R
    4+2 leafs, 210 mm free camber, 149 lbf/in (main) and 482 lbs/in (overload)

    EL096R
    5+2 leafs, 210 mm free camber, 182 lbf/in (main) and 506 lbf/in (overload)

So appears the EL096R is closer to the CS047R. The EL095R I guess will be a CS047R with the 3rd leaf (right?) removed.

That's kind of my understanding. Read though many threads, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-ome-dakar-leaf-pack-review.489540/ that one helped me quite a bit!!

Based on the numbers I'd get the EL096R and take out a spring until you get the extra stuff installed. I couldn't imagine going any lighter than my CS047R (e.g. EL096R) but I have at least a couple hundred lbs of topper, tools & gear before I add the fridge, camping stuff, bikes, etc.

So speaking of the new darkars, anyone put the Allpro ubolt flip kit on them? Kind of concerned some pics have centering pin coming up.

You have to cut the center pin down when you put the leaf pack on. Not a problem.

I did and I didn't need to cut the center pin at all.

For those wondering about the updated dakars with anti squeak pads, mine have them and I haven't heard a peep from back there. I drive off road moderately-heavily 3-5 times a week and I am nothing short of in love with them. Wether I'm crawling through rough shit, or doing 100 down fairly maintained dirt roads, these springs seem to take it and keep chuggin. Some up and down flex pics:

Do you have the "clunk" issue using the fox shocks with the Dakar leafs? Idk if those are the same length than the OME shocks or if any length would work well with them

Hey man, nice truck. How was it installing your new leafs and u-bolt flip kit with the super bumps? I just ordered Allpro expos with flip kit, ext brake lines and super bumps. Would like to do the install myself to save some coin. Also, how easy were the bushing to press into the leafs? Thanks

No issues using the Foxes with the Dakers. I torqued everything to factory specs. Except for the u-bolts which the factory manual says is 37 ft-lbs a typo many people including myself believe. I torqued mine to 75 ft-lbs in a criss-cross fashion. The rear Foxes I'm using are for 2-3" of lift bought from Headstrong Offroad

Thanks! The install was super easy to do. The bushings I just pressed in by hand. It's good to do install and learn about your truck. Took me 4 hrs between beer breaks :D

Allpro has free shipping right now. I suggest jumping on that before that sale ends. Shipping leafs isn't cheap
