I'd be interested in buying that one from you. I need one for my LEER cap. I have a long bed.

You probably got an extra (free) crossbar, so can't be too upset! Also you can probably sell the two sides pieces (I assume they won't have you send them back...?)

Did anyone installed the rack on the camper shell with the lower foot?

Is it a option buying the lower foot separated?

    Plethora of "useless" shit
So I'm not one to complain or bitch I'm a pretty easy going guy(you can look at my post history), but I guess it's time to vent for once. I finally received my toprac and cabrac(well most of it) 10 weeks after ordering only to find that I had no cabrac sides in my shipment. Immediately emailed Zach and CBI to let them know, and I was very polite about it. I received a fairly quick response that this was on purpose because Zach didn't want to hold my order up any longer, but of course I was not notified of this when my parts shipped so it sucked to open my package and find major parts missing. Oh well, all good I guess. He said neither he nor CBI had any bare cabrac sides in stock, only PC'd but CBI was expecting a shipment. CBI emailed back 2 days later that they received a batch of bare parts and asked Zach what they needed to get me squared away. He let them know right away and I gave them a big thank you. Waited a couple of days and hadn't received any shipping info, so I shot them a nice email on Monday let them know I hadn't seen anything regarding a shipment and explained that I understand they have a lot going on with the transition and just wanted to make sure the parts were set aside and not going out to someone else or to be PC'd. No response... sent another follow up today...no response.
Maybe they shipped and their on their way, but it would be nice if I could just get a response that it shipped or it didn't. Either way just a response. I was really hoping that with CBI taking over(since they are well staffed I assume) that the communication at least would get better for people. Evidently that's not the case. Sucks when I have parts just sitting here waiting to be painted and used, including a new Foxwing awning that I was hoping to use this summer that's now been sitting in my garage for weeks.
Sorry guys, I'll step down now. Just needed to vent a bit. Thanks for listening

Email is a great tool, especially for keeping a paper trail. But not everyone is as efficient at using it as they should be(not making excuses for them, just thinking about how I am at work during busy times) However a phone call is more direct and personal. It sucks what happened to you, and completely understand your frustration. I would call. I had to call them the other week and got an answer immediately. Good luck and hope you get pieces soon, and that my order isn't messed up, like yours.

Oh I know what you mean by phone being more direct and personal, but CBI does not have my order info since it was pre-acquisition. Also since they were replying just fine and promptly up until Zach told them which parts I needed I figured someone must be manning that queue regularly. I will most likely need to give them a call either way at this point.

Just ordered my Prinsu rack, so while I wait, I was wondering how ya'll protect the roof since it will be pretty darn tough to clean with the rack on. Has anyone tried a vinyl wrap for the roof only?

I don't know much about plastidip, but the goal is to protect the paint. From what I've read, this seems like more of a permanent (but eventually removable...with a lot of work) solution. I'm looking for something that is easily removable when the time comes, and won't damage the paint in the process.

I'll give it a try on some spare parts to see if it will work for me. Thanks for the suggestion.
