Just traded my 2017 GMC Canyon in on a new 2017 Tacoma Limited. Looking forward to learning more about these trucks in this forum.

Problems with the transmission shift points on the Canyon that GM could not get right. At slow speeds < 20 mph (like going around a corner) the transmission did not down shift and it was accelerating in 5-6 gear. I also had a water leak coming from somewhere between the inner and outer roof panels. Water literally streamed from the headliner onto the rear view mirror and into the cup holder in my console. Other than that, the Canyon wasn't a bad vehicle. I just needed a change.

wise decision! Say goodbye to the typical woes of a GM vehicle.....i know them well. I bought my first old toyota 22re 4x4 years ago. I had over 300k on that truck without an issue. I rebuilt the transmission at 285k. There's a reason these trucks are so popular, and hold their value over time....cause they f--kin rock. Congrats and welcome from one new taco guy to another!

Well I've had my Tacoma a week now and with 233 miles on it and less than a tank of gas run through it......I hit a deer. Busted the grille, headlight, turn signal, fog light, bumper and filler panel and pushed out the driver side fender. Back to the dealership on Tuesday for repairs.

DAMMMN. man I'm sorry to hear that- I've had similiar experience with other vehicle- makes me think of that qoute from Big Lebowski by the cowboy..."sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you"
