They don't use jumper cables anymore
They used a computerized jump box that's safe on electronics

So, you can buy one of those yourself. Mines a Diehard. Not the one I wanted, and I now wish I had gotten one at OXW. Next year.

The one that the Auto club tech used had a bar code scanner that read my VIN and after the batt and charging system test it printed out a report of my charging system

To check level needs the right temp.
Either with the blinking light or tech stream.
If it's hot. You wait 5 or 6 hours...
I never trust the flush machines. Can't tell if the same is going in and out. Can't tell if the level is right to begin with.

    Evening people's.
    Hope everyone is safe.

Came I a little while ago from my second friggin home.
    Cabella's.
So many have about 90% of what they want and some of what I want.
So I said screw it. I'm gonna load up a backpack with pots and pans and mugs and anything else I can carry and bring it in. I figure if I bring everything then I'll pass the requirement. Lol.
Maybe I can cook a meal while he's giving us the poop.

Oh played with my "second form of fire starter". Lit a magnesium fire a couple of times. Don't do any good if I have it and it won't work for me...

I have started magnesium fires before. Cleaning the rims on 2000 GT.
So I know what they look like. Hehehehehehehehehehehehe

You can plan and work your whole life for saving and retirement. And after 25 years of marriage all it takes is for a woman to decide to go "find herself" and you loose half of everything. Actually if you want to keep the boys and house it is everything and you get to start over.

But if you have the right woman and partner in life things are much better, screw the retirement. Yes we all will die, it is that taxes and death thing. You will not die alone. Think you have done pretty well for yourself.

Michael Pollan wrote a book The Botany of Desire which PBS made a show of about the history of and current state of modern apples. Great show if you get a chance to see it worth watching. He also has a 4 part series on Netflix about food and of course the part about fire is my favorite. Meat. Fire.

And I waited until 6 tongiht to light fires was hoping the rain would stop. It isn't so the hell with it.

Eventually you get to where you can walk into Cabelas and think damn there is nothing here I want or need. At least I did. I still carry a magnesium stick with me in the woods really like them.

When I was Fire Marshall on an aircraft carrier not so much. Fighter jet wheels contain a lot of magnesium to save weight. Once they catch on fire not much to stop them from burning they generate their own oxygen. Class D fires suck. Unless your in the woods and need to start one.
