Installed a 32" lightbar behind the lower valence with well nuts in the crash cans, painted my turd badge, and busted some rust and painted the skid plate and hooks and whatnots.

Forgot to take pictures of the mounting but I drilled a hole in each crash can and mounted with a well nut. The lower valence completely covers the horizontal crash bar and I didn't want to cut or trim any of the plastic.

@DirtLife, how's the recovery coming? Feel free to PM me if you have questions on the new normal. I've had a few abdominal surgeries and have had my ascending colon and ileum resected, along with having my gallbladder, spleen, and a few other non essentials removed.

Here's a shot of the bling I was left with after my second surgery. The surgery I had after this they cut me open from the sternum to pelvis....that took a bit longer to recover from.

Out of curiosity. My 2011 owner's manual states gl-4 or gl-5 for transfer case. I know the Mobil 1 is gl-5. Something to do with brass components and additives and supposedly gl-4 is better for transfer cases and manual transmissions.

That said, What are y'alls opinions on using mobile 1 gl-5 on my front and rear diffs, transfer case and my 5 speed manual since it says gl-4 or gl-5 can be used for the transfer and transmission? I've been meaning to do mine for a bit and couldn't find a solid yes or no on this and gl-4 fluids are super hard to find locally. Screenshot_20170826-231124.jpgScreenshot_20170826-231255.jpg

Drain and filled the radiator and gave it a long overdue bath. Maybe try to get some wax on her today.

My owner manual says the same, but everyone I've seen mention this just uses the GL-5 75w90 for front diff, rear diff and transfer case since you can make it easier and use the same oil for all 3. GL-4 might be the Toyota brand 75w85 which is way more expensive.

    A thing or two...
I use Redline in my diff and transmission. Most people run the MT-90 which is a GL-4 oil. I ran it on my first couple of changes. This last one I switched to their GL-5 oil, and I like it better. I switched because it claimed to provide smoother shifting, and I've found that to be true. I'm getting close to my next change and plan on sticking with the Redline GL-5.

Dang $17.49/qt. Totals to be about $140 for all 4, transmission, transfer, and both diffs:annoyed:

Still Not terrible, I guess, for something that only needs to be done every few years for my mileage.
