Floods in bradenton/ Sarasota ain't no joke

we get bad floods here in Sarasota , I got a 6" plus 3" body lift and still was scared my K&N intake was going to pull in water . So today I will be looking in to different Types of snorkel ideas .

I did a cowel snorkel with a v6 it's even easier. It pulls where my ac pulls air.

 

Yes I just saw another thread on this and yep I'm going this route for sure asap .

No not at all. If you get any water up on your hood it would suck the air water right in. The cowel has plenty of air to pull without modifying it. Having this mods saved my ass before.

 

Actually when I was in bradenton area 41 and 53rd

 

I'm doing it for sure I'm already looking into it . I wonder if my K&N filter fits in that area I'll squeeze it in if I have to lol

 

If I recall all you need is a 90 degree piece and a little straight pipe.

 

Damn... That area has never been good. I lived over by Sarasota High off of bay St. and it would flood not bad but still about 12/18 inches of water with a bad storm....

I think most of Bradenton and Sarasota is only about 13/14 feet above sea level and even out east is maybe about 4/6 feet above sea level once you get out in University park/lakewood ranch area....

 

Kinda scary I live by Whitfield estates and a lot of areas are bad ,water inside houses

I'm good just a bit worry my pool is getting close to over Flow hope it don't keep raining . If it does It may go into my garage .

 

41 and Gulfstream was nuts last night. I'm glad I recently bought a lifted 4x4 Tacoma because my lowered 1st Gen wouldn't have liked it.

 

That area has always been bad......

Yup and instead of fixing it, they put a mega condo on the corner with no help on drainage

 

I lived in Cortez on 118th St W for about a yr or so that entire area would go under water we had an inch of rain at high tide....

 

Nice yea I got so many Thumbs up my kids where excited and finally my wife admits my truck is the best lol
