Holy 8k! I was holding out for one but maybe I'll deal with the turd I have.

I thought 6k for a turbo kit and tune was about the limit. I was hoping they'd be less.

That's for the 2010-2017 4runner SC that they're running the pilot program for. I'd expect the tacoma to come out soon if that's coming out right now.

Just go to the site and get on their mailing list.

I like how a few years ago everyone was convinced that nobody could crack the toyota ECU and flash it.

Now @OVTune and magnuson is doing it.

Options options options. I will play the waiting game and see. SC, re-gear, drive it into the dirt or move on. Seems like the picture will be in focus by the time the basic warranty goes tits up.

I'd rather not have the size of a raptor. I already struggle parking mine occasionally. Although it's about as wide as a raptor now.

I'd like to see you get either for only 8k more than you paid for your truck.

For 8 grand I'd just get a different, more powerful and fast truck. After owing this Tacoma for a little over 4 months, it's definetly not going to a long term vehicle like I had hoped.

    8 grand? I am alright...

Maybe it's because I have a manual, but I feel like the stock power is good enough. I am hesitant to even put a OVtune in the car.

Maybe it's because you're an adult who has driven more vehicles than just the Tacoma and didn't expect it to be a Raptor , for some reason? Just a thought

I did a 0-60 run. Counting "1 Mississippi" in my head (take it for it is) with a launch at 3K RPM. I think I got somewhere in the 7.7 to 8.0 second range. I think that is plenty fast for something like this.

People complain about power on the highways. I just dropped it to second or third gear, and it pulls just fine. The engine pulls really hard at 4500 rpm and above.

I don't want to spend $8K just to blow a headgasket or bust a connecting rod with Forced induction and leave my family stranded somewhere. With $8 you're approach the cost of a total engine swap.
