Took my 2016 TRD sport in for 25,000 mile service and to once again please check the clunking sound in the front suspension again. This time i got the service manager to ride with me in the truck and finally someone heard the clunk. I told them they can have the truck all day. Later that day I got a call later from the service manager and that they wanted to keep the truck, they didn't know for how long? they had been in contact with Toyota Corp. about my truck and were again waiting for Corp. to get back with the dealership about my truck. Any body else experience this????

Body mount bushings perhaps? Pretty common problem I've seen here on third gens.

Loaner car wasn't offered, but I towed my lowered VW to dealership unhooked it and drove off. My local dealerships won't offer me a ride home.... to far...they want me to drive to them to earn my business but can do me a solid and shuttle me home.

A service ticket of over 7 hours requires the dealership issue you a loaner.

    Exactly

Thus I was surprised that they will hold it for corporate yet no loaner

Well I haven't been impressed with my dealership at all,,,,,, once they left a full unopened oil quart in between the serpentine belt and it got sliced open by the belt oiling the entire engine compartment before i got home.

Holding the vehicle requires they issue you a loaner. I would recommend you call them and ask politely for one. If they refuse, let them know you are filling out your dealer surveys from Toyota (should be in your email account), and calling corporate to tell them about the service issue and the lack of a loaner vehicle.

If cracking the whip like that doesn't make them straighten up, you'll hear within days about submitting a bad survey on their service as they get ranked for it. Bad customer service ratings greatly affect dealerships all the way to what vehicles are obligated to them. You will likely get a call back pretty quickly from corporate about them holding the vehicle as well. It's probably the issue with the differential recall.

You bought and paid for transportation. They cannot withhold a vehicle from you without offering a replacement.

Is the dealer keeping your truck because of the suspension clunking or the rear end leaking?

Dealership already took care of , a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, trans wouldn't shift at around 700 miles , they took care of the rear diff, u-joint service, and hmmm it seems to be at the dealership monthly....

My "clunking" was the passenger side cab mount.

I have a clunking sound from the front suspension as well. Took it to the dealership and after 3 days they still couldn't figure out what was causing it. They said they were going to call a regional technician and get back to be earlier this week and never did. I hate cracking the whip on the guys at the dealership but I am tired of their headassery

Wow my dealer offers a loaner if I want to go get lunch. It was only in for the 5000 service. Years ago I burnt a valve I 85 and they were having trouble fixing it and it was taking way to much time and service manager offered his personal car for me to go home and I live 70 miles from the dealership. That kind of service is why I've purchased 3 vehicles from them

Well in my short time in So-Cal a lot of people feel entitled!!!!! Bitches and nobody really understands the words "Customer Service" Stay away from Tustin Toyota and Temecula Toyota,,,, Although "NightHawk" works at Temecula dealership, and was an Amazing personal honor to meet this off roading legend.
