Just ordered these kicker tweeters and some 6x9's. This is what will be going in this weekend-
    - kicker tweeters
    - Rockford Fosgate 6x9 2-way
    - metra adapters for 6x9
    - metra wire adapters

Trying with no amp and leaving stock Entune (no JBL) on my 2017. Will also try to pick up some dynamat type sound dampener this week for the doors. Will report back

Just finished the install. Took about 3 1/2 hours total. The tweeters were very easy to install and took about 30 mins. The hardest part were the screws closest to the windshield because my hands didn't fit well there. Also, make sure to have a 10 mm socket driver and 10 mm wrench. Otherwise, very easy.

The door speakers weren't bad either. The drivers side panel took me about an hour, but once I had it figured out, the passenger door took about 15 mins total to take apart and put back together. I screwed up and took the entire door handle out on the drivers side, but disconnected the cables for the passenger side. Made a huge difference in time. Watch the video on page 2 (I think) of this thread to help.

Man, those door speakers are absolute crap. The pictures that people have taken and shown don't even do them justice. They are worse. Very thin paper speakers with a magnet the size of half my thumb.

Now the sound...the tweeters and door speakers combined make a significant difference in sound. I can turn up the volume over 50 with no distortion. I am very happy with the upgrade in sound and quality. Very clear highs and good bass. I don't think I am going to add an amp and sub now. The only thing I will do is go back and add some dynamat on the doors and cab. Well worth the $150 I spent for all of this.

I think I mentioned that you can do it without removing handle cables. I just hung door pnels with bungees and folded cardboard to create space to work. The factory speakers are the cheapest I ever have seen in any car. And I had a couple of Saturn's. At least new speakers show we have great head units. Mine is the non JBL premium and it rocks azz now with all 6 kickers.

mrproduxn I tried looking for the kicker cs694, it's mostly CS684 the one's coming up. Are those gonna work too? or any site where I can get it from?

I also installed the kicker tweeters, sounds way better than the Toyota crappy tweets! Totally worth the price being plug and play.

I bought my 6 x 9 and 6.5 Kickers a while back from BestBuy. I don't know where the box is at the moment to give you the specs. I suggest do a google search for the ones I have and buy the newer version of Kickers with the same specs and wattage output. You might find someone selling my models on ebay. I know mine are awesome. I can say with confidence that anything from Kicker will sound tons better than the little paper speakers from the factory. I will look for the box and paperwork later and see what newer model Kickers are the most similar. On a side note I watched BestBuy.com until mine were nearly half price and then jumped on them. I had to drive 25 miles past several BestBuy stores to find them in stock.

Good catch. That place has the cs65's too for only $23 plus free shipping over $50 so $56 for all 4 speakers shipped!

No much less power. I say 2 way because you have separate tweeters in the dash. You want mostly bass from the doors. I will look around.

This one on ebay lists the same power on the cs6934 which may or may not be correct. I would ask a question from the seller and guarantee the rms and peak advertised power of the coaxial speakers. At least you can dispute purchases on ebay and are protected by either paypal or a credit card depending on how you purchase. These are listed as the 150 rms and 450 peak which is what I have.

Also just showing a 6 x 9 with 2 little speakers is misleading. On my coaxial the 3rd speaker is a voice coil and not a 3rd speaker or tweeter.

This seems like a 3way speaker..
