I don't think tranny is part of the 30k service. Spark plugs are though. And greasing the driveshaft.

Rear diff and transfer case are simple and have room to work. Front diff is a bit harder to get to... Skid has to come off and I couldn't get the impact gun up there, but my drain/fill plugs weren't rusted and they were easy to get off with a 10mm hex socket.

I've heard the spark plugs are fairly easy, just time consuming... 2 hour'ish job. I'll be tackling that sometime this week/weekend.

Great how-to posts on TacomaWorld for all the 30k services too!

Diffs and t-case are recommended at 30k and I think 100k on tranny.

30k seems like a lot on the diff fluid though... Just did mine today at 30,500 and they were both dark. Filled them with Mobil 1 Synthetic and may check them at 55k instead of 60k.

Spark plugs aren't bad Pass side iscake and you just have to work around some hoses on the drivers side. Go ahead and replace the pcv valve while your doing the plugs on the drivers side as it's rt there and only like $6 from the dealer

Yep, saw everyone else went driver side but I like the way the logo flows with the grill side. Running it on that side until I get some mesh to make a grill! Slowly moving away from the blacked out everything and needed some color. I really love that hood vinyl you have now and want something similar for my bedside vinyl instead of the matte black TRD I have now.

Do it! They are awesome and very easy to install (toughest part is fishing the wires through the hood)
