anyway to make the fog like switch on my 06 access cab light up when its on? I did the fog light mod and just forget to turn them on and off when i want. They shut off when i turn the truck off, but i'd like it to tell me when im in the truck if there on or not.

What's up with that? That bugs me too. No indicator?

My only guess is to pop an led on the switch...

My switch graphic is painted, it doesn't even have the capability of being a lighted switch, like the 4x switch.

WTF? Any 2009 TRD OR's have that switch light up?

I bought a factory switch from a guy on ebay and it lights up when the dashlights are on but no indicator that they are on except looking at the fogs on and off going down the road.. although I guess I could rewire for that but but then at night I would be hunting for the switch, I can also look at the switch and see what position it is in or by the feel of the switch.. I see where your at on this no light and you are seaching for the switch as well at night..
I was wundering if someone was able to put in a different color lights when off and on?

These switches when functioning correctly are BACK LIT like most of the controls on the dash, to enable you to find them in the dark. The switch DO NOT illuminate an indicator when the fogs are on - they are back lit only. If your switch is not back lit, replace the bulb inside which commonly burns out periodically. THIS IS FOR ALL MODELS OF TACOMAS - TRD or SR5 with fog lights.

Neither the 4x4 switch or fog light switch is a painted on graphic.

The 4x4 switch can be illuminated by this method:

I believe Fortech is correct. These light switches, from the factory, are not set up to be either lit up, or not depending on if the fogs are on or not.

I remember a post a long time ago from a member who modified their fog light switch, becuase it was only back lit when the headlights were actually on. If I remember correctly, it was a pretty in-depth mod, requiring two colored LEDs, and some soldering. It might have even been over at TN, but I remember seeing the video he posted with the switch in action after he was done.

you could add your own led indicator light so when the switch is on it will light up the led.

How do I get to those buttons to change out the back lit bulb? They're pretty high up there in comparison to the lower buttons
