Game Of Thrones

Just watched every episode up to last night's in the last two weeks. Man this season ended strong. Good show.

 

I didn't understand why Bran didn't already know his true name if he "knows all". My girl explained it to me like this...

"It's like he has access to all the information, he just hasn't seen it all yet. Like having Netflix but he just hasn't watched that episode yet."

And also, I don't understand the Tyrion thing. He's never expressed any feelings towards Dany so it was just creepy that he was outside her cabin. Jorah has already played that part when she was sleeping with the guy she left back across the sea to rule for her.

I also don't understand Cersi's motives anymore. All she talks about is family and doing what she has to in order for her family to rule and survive and she hates Tyrion bc he killed her father and betrayed the family but as soon as Jaime disagrees with her she's ok with killing him? Maybe it's the crazy pregnancy hormones but she's lost her mind

 

She's always been out of her mind. I cant wait to see what Jaime decides to do, he has friends outside of Kings Landing...like Brienne, that I believe would stand up to accept him.

I'm curious to see this army that Euron has gone to retrieve too.

 

The only place I could see him going is winterfell fo Brienne. Maybe to see Tyrion but he doesn't know where he is, so it makes senses he would just happen upon him also being at winterfell.

 

She want to win, she wants revenge, and she'll never recognize or admit that she's wrong.

 

The last season, and maybe even the season before I feel like the writing has gotten really good. It's been good the whole series but I've laughed a lot more recently. Anytime Bran says he's the three-eyed raven and the other person looks dumbfounded and then says "I don't know what that means". The same thing Sansa said to Arya when she said she was the faceless man

Also the hound and Tormund and pretty much anything Euron.

 

I absolutely died at Sam when he shook his head like he understood, paused, then I don't know what that means.

yea the writers are writing in some good humor this season for sure.

 

I nearly missed the scroll part because I was already laughing. good stuff.

 

I don't think he was standing there because he has fallen for her, but more because he knows this will change the way things were supposed to be as far the alliance between the northerners and Daeny.

It's gotten better because they don't have to look to the books for guidance. They have more freedom to write the way they want.

 

Great finale! And wow, that undead dragon is just all types of NOPE!!!! Crazy that the Eastwatch portion of the Wall is down now. I guess maybe the only silver lining is that is the entire undead army. There hasn't been any other undead armies shown anywhere else in the land beyond the Wall, so there should be no fear of other armies trying to break through other sections of the Wall like Castle Black. I bet that is where Tormund and Berric end up next season, at Castle Black. At least for the premiere episode before they regroup with the North.

What a fitting place for a meeting between the opposing parties, the Dragon Pit. I just knew Dany was going arrive via dragon to make as big of an entrance as possible. I was glad the meeting scenes went on for a good amount of time. There were lots of good scenes to behold, like the Hound and the Mountain, the verbal sparring, the box with the undead soldier, everyone's amazement and fear at the terrifying truth. That was all awesome. I also actually believed Euron's statement that he was just going to sit this one out in Pike and let everyone else fend for themselves. But as it turns out, Cersei has him going to pick up the Golden Company. Interesting moves by Cersei, but ultimately she just cannot yield her place in the game. I am glad Jaime is done and left King's Landing. He finally understands what he needs to do when confronted with the truth of the state of the world, and Cersei's unhinged mentality. Hopefully he goes North to connect with his brother and Brienne.

Jon Snow aka Jon Sand aka Aegon Targaryon! Finally, the truth was told. He is the true heir to the Iron Throne. It will be very interesting to see when he finds out, and how the relationship with Dany will change... or not.

I also enjoyed the scene with Sansa, Arya, and Littlefinger. It played out just as anticipated. That guy just crossed too many people with his games, and it all came back to bite him in the ass. He should have ran away as soon as Bran told him the chaos is a ladder statement. There would be no question that Bran would fill in his sisters with the whole plot, which he did, otherwise they wouldn't have known about the doublecross in the throne room. Arya must have felt great to be the one to kill him. The Starks are back!!

 

yea I agree with braves, they just have more freedom to improvise. you can tell a pretty large difference in a lot of aspects of the show.

 

I actually think Tyrion was standing there because he anticipated this happening. They discussed the possibility of this type of alliance while in Dragonstone.

I crack up so hard at the 3 eyed Raven every time he says that. Haha.

 

I had another thought after the finale last night. This was by far, the most elaborate zombie story ever told or written!!! What started off as a medieval fantasy, ultimately peaks at going to war with the zombie army.

I think someone else mentioned this before but didn't the Baratheons (sp?) take the Iron Throne (Westoros) by conquest? If that's the case there is no Targaryen (also sp?) heir. The only heir would be a son of Robert. The only known living one of those is Gendry but he's a bastard so technically not an heir...

I guess I've never understood why so many people think the throne belongs to them. I think at the end of the series it's just going to be whoever is left standing. It won't be a Lannister. I think initially Daeny will have issues with the Jon Snow/Targaryen thing before she eventually decides they are stronger together, but I'm guessing one of them dies in the final battle.

I'm going to guess she is pregnant though and nobody can argue their baby wouldn't be true blood Targaryen so anyone believing in their claim would let it be king/queen. Not sure next season will span an entire pregnancy though if she were to die and have it be born first

Then again the timeline in this show makes no sense so I'm sure it's possible for her to have a baby before they even make it to winterfell or the night king arrives on his dragon even though daeny flew the length of westeros to save Jon in about 20minutes
