Why oh why (Cab Spoiler)

I've been looking for one of these for my 2nd gen

Honda Ridgeline has it

 

It claims to be just as effective as a CAI...

 

This may actually *decrease* fuel economy since you'd lose the bubble of air in the bed that keeps airflow going over the tailgate.

 

I don't hate it, wonder how it would look color matched...

 

Neat. I guess I did a bad job of explaining what I was seeing on the wind tunnel and CFD... I have no formal training in aero, I'm kind of a "read articles and teach myself" kinda guy.

The only part of the whole thing I'm interested in is the spoiler, and if it were in the neighborhood of $200 I would be interested, but the airdesign site says "coming soon!" when you click on buy now (and has for the past ~8 months?), no online retailers that I know of carry the parts, and their distributor network is just a scattering of individuals with no websites or brick&mortar stores associated. I know people on TW have gotten the full kit but how they managed to pry it out of airdesign is beyond me.

 

A quick search (just because I was curious what it looked like) makes it look like this site has it for $169

Trust me though I was scouring the internet a few months ago and they were nowhere to be found, so I just sorta gave up.

If you have a tonneau cover it would not be a issue.

Dude I hate to break it to ya. But the Toyota dealership did a Bait -n- Switch on you. They sold you a Chevy...

 

Its a vortex generator. You cant use it with a rear window open as your dog will get sucked out of the cab. Its already been known to suck the money out of your wallet.

 

All the cool kids have them

 

That thing makes the truck look like a chevy avalanche.

 

Spoilers Schmoilers! The real question is when do we get rear window louvers? You can get them for your Prius FFS!
