True amber LED's, not covers.... Here's why:

Internet picture of ambers vs. red marker lights... FOR EXAMPLE AND COMPARISON SAKE: to the naked human eye... amber covers on white leds look like the one on the left, true amber leds look like the right.

    led-marker-light-amber-red-on-mss-x2.jpg

This is a more accurate picture of what true amber floods/fogs look like

    RigidIndustries-AmberLED-2.jpg

Make sense? I like the color of true ambers because they're a true color, and not being washed out in the middle.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    easier answer:
covers fall off in mudholes or otherwise lost. Or stolen by asshats in parking lots.

There are bars now with both amber and white leds in them. (2 switches)

I almost ordered one but decided to stay with a simple slim single row bar.

No no. I get why you prefer an amber lens to an amber cover on a white lens. I am asking why you prefer amber to white.

I'm leaning white because every single vehicle comes from the factory with white fogs. I really enjoyed the white fogs on the last truck. I get the supposed benefits of amber in dust/rain. However, in reality, those conditions account for very little of my driving time. white (from my experience) does good enough in those conditions and will provide more light (from what I understand) where I want it. I'm really just wanting some good, low, wide light.

If I remember right, he wants $60,000. Don't think it's going to sell any time soon. Looks nice though.
There's another one on 64 sitting on Boggers and an old rusted out one sitting on a lot on Jackson Ave :confused:

I have enough white light that i can see, but in low light (dawn or dusk), or dust/rain/snow.... i think that amber work better for.

    lol.
I actually put in yellow headlight bulbs.
not like GT racecar yellow but enough to tell.
I think it is easier to see in anything less than perfectly clear weather.

Yeah, I could see it if he had swapped it to a v8 and 4 link maybe, but it's basically just stock and restored. It's even sitting on lift blocks in the rear, not even new lift springs!!

    there's your solution.

    D. all of the above.

New headlights + white light bar + amber light bar.

I got yellow/amber fog bulbs from Daniel at LBL. I can't really say if they do or do not make a yuuuge difference. I felt like they were a bit better in foggy conditions at night, negligible in daylight.
I'm also pretty sure they are the cause of the water and moisture in my fog housings, so I took them out for some Silverstar Ultras to match my headlights
