    Yeah when I got the leaf spring recall I brought it inn and forgot about the frame limited recall. Guy at dealer told me that I'd have a good chance of getting it replaced if they came out with frame campaign again. Plus I got rust. Bad!

    "The guy" does not know what he is talking about.

    There have never been any Tacoma frame rust recalls, they have all been voluntary Customer Service Program (CSP) Warranty Enhancements:

    CSP ZTG covered 1995 to 2000 MY trucks: it offered a 12-year warranty extension (bumping the warranty to 15 years), CRC application, and a frame repairs or a "buy-back" if the frame was too far gone to repair--this was VIN specific, but most all 1995-2000 VINs were included;

    CSP ZTH covered 2001 to 2004 MY trucks: it was similar to the previous ZTG program (really an extension to same), a 12-year warranty extension, CRC, repairs, and a slightly more limited "buy-back" option--it was also VIN specific with most all VINs included, it expired in late 2016;

    CSP ZH6
    is the current program, Toyota's acquiescence to the Brian Warner, et al v. Toyota USA class action suit. It too is a Warranty Enhancement Program--NOT a recall. It is not VIN specific and includes all 2005 to 2010 Tacomas sold in the US;

    The current program's letter to dealers has been linked numerous times in this and other threads, or just google "toyota csp zh6"

    What about a couple years ago about the limited recall on the frame? Did the crc stuff or new frame? I. Missed that one. Got my new springs put on 1 month after that limited recall was up

    So are you saying CSP ZH6 covers trucks with rebuilt titles? This was what stopped me getting a new frame on my 2004 which was otherwise mint.

    I did not say that, as my ability to read minds over the internet has waned in my senior years (unless I missed something which is also quite possible):

    I see your confusion: however salvage title trucks are not covered by the original warranty, and as CSP ZH6 is a warranty extension program there is no warranty to extend.

    If it were a government mandated "recall" it might possibly apply to salvaged vehicles...

    Waiting in dealership said it would take about an hour. I'll let you know how it goes!

    Hope it goes well for you. I don't have any holes but I am hoping to at least get the CRC application without any resistance? Keep us posted. TIA

    Got it inspected. Didn't see any holes and couldn't tap 10 mm. Very rusty tho. Told me to come back after winter for a recheck. He then will prolly put crc on if they can't fail it. They said toyota cant cover frame if they can't get a hole in it. So pretty much I'm effed. They said the campaign goes till may 2018

    Maybe try a plastic hammer and help it along . My frame was sprayed a couple of years ago ... now it's totally rusted out in many areas

    Spraying a coating (almost any coating) over an already rusted frame, without intensive and costly prep work that a car dealer is unlikely to do, is just eyewash and probably not worth the bother...

    Posting this on a public forum as your action plan is probably not the wisest thing to do--see the description of the internet in my signature...
