No, I buy it buy the large block at Costco. When I have time, I put it into the mixer and let it whip it for me. Today I did it by hand.

This is my second batch. First time I just cut a slit in the jalapeños and stuffed them as whole. This time I cut the in half, so much easier! Also, while it is against every bone in my body, thin sliced bacon is a must.

I sprinkled cheese on them before wrapping, next time I will mix it into the cream cheese.

pretty straightforward really this rub has a lot of the flavors that I usually use anyway for a (western) Carolina style BBQ sauce. Proportions might be a little off cuz I never measure stuff lol adjust to taste

2 parts cider vinegar, 2 parts ketchup, 1 part prepared yellow mustard, 1 part honey (totally optional lol), 1/2 part worchestershire sauce. Add spicy rub to taste.
Slowly bring to a simmer in sauce pot.
If u want to make a glaze out of it for, say, wings or burnt ends emulsify some butter into it while still warm

Somebody mentioned earlier making some vinegar mop/Carolina Kiss with the rub. I'm gonna try that next :)

The vinegar sauce I make for pulled pork is extra delicious with pitface spicy!

    2 cups apple cider vinegar
    1 cup ketchup
    1/2 cup hot sauce
    2 tblsp salt
    2 tblsp pepper
    1/2 cup sugar
2 tblsp pitface spicy :woot:(used to be crushed red pepper)

Bring to simmer in pan to dissolve. Cool and place in bottle.
Amazing on pulled pork or chips or tortillas or anything really ;)
Half recipe is good for 1 pork butt. Keeps in fridge for a few weeks

Tried out the new BBQ place by my house. It was decent at best. My pulled pork isn't great but I think it's way better than what they had. Their tri tip was alright, pretty tender and decent flavor but nothing standout. Plus side they had some good beers on tap. Not sure if I'd go back.

Ya I was pretty disappointed. I was hoping for some good BBQ, guess that'll have to wait until tomorrow. They could use some pitfaced rub, I'd bet that'd make their food way better!

Cut into cubes, then toss with a little evoo. Place in ziplock with rub and shake to cover. Oven for 2.5 hours then I'll add to foil pan with honey, brown sugar and butter. Cover for another 1.5 hours.

Should be on smoker but gotta do what I gotta do

Just tried some of the OG rub on a hard boiled egg. You need to make an all purpose seasoning. The rub made the egg delicious!

Yup. Wanted something other than salt so I brought a little container filled with some rub and sprinkled some on top. Way better than salt
