Houston area (along with DB's not from Houston) BS thread

I'm good. Just spent 2 hours in line at Kroger and did my weekly grocery shopping. Lol. Now I can hunker down with some good meals/or donate to neighbors that start running low.

Sienna plantation to my south is under a mandatory evacuation. The brazos river is going to destroy that area.

I'm protected by levees from the south, west, and north. So I just need the water to me east to keep flowing and I'll be good.

 

Carmen is under mandatory evac. Don't know how her phone is doing. May or May not check back in on here.

 

Hope she gets out ok. Last update looked to be getting into the house.

 

I'll try to update you guys, I'm in frequent contact with her.

River is about to fuck our town up. Keeps rising and rising. Not nearly as bad as Houston but literally the worst flooding in our history books for this town.

 

How are ya'll doing with with the flooding in Houston I live up The Woodlands area & although we have had Harvey knock at the door we got lucky no flooding Stay Safe everyone!

I was not happy she & the camera man stayed in the boat should have given up the seats for kids especially! Sure made me cross

@CarmenSanDiego and fam are under mandatory evac but will be remaining in place. Nowhere to go and too dangerous to try to get out at this point. They have plenty of food and water. They're safe and the dogs are safe. We're getting regular updates from her and will make sure to keep y'all updated, as well!

We aren't out of the woods yet Houston. Houstonians are a tough bunch of people. We can overcome this

 

Road into the development. On the far right side of the pic is FM 1463. You can see 2 cars that didn't fair too well. Luckily this area seems to drain off fast after it stops.
