Toyota Maintanace shedule questions

    No mods- running boards, vent visors all around ,Leer XQ Cap, hood deflector,bed extender, OEM roof rack, Toyota bed mat.Nothing fancy!
    Any opinions on these 2 questions would be appreciated.
    I've got a 2006 TRD LB with auto trans. I've got 54000 kilometers on it (30000+ miles) there is no indication on the maintanace schedule as to ever replacing the auto tranny fluid and filter. Is it a misprint or are the darn trannies so advanced that it isn't required under NORMAL driving condtions. (I do drive normaly with minimal 4X use, no real off roading use, city highway miles and the like).
    As well, also not on the schedule is the timing belt replacement mileage. On all toyotas I have ever owned the TB change was due about 100,000 kilometers (60,000 miles)yet I can't find anything and all I get out of toyota is thats the way it is now. Anyone know why? .Again is it due to some superior advancement in technology or what?
    Any info/opinions would be appreciated.

    getting there....
    as for the transmission fluid change............like Brunes said, its 100k interval........but......and its just me, i'd wanna have it changed sooner even with normal driving.

    if you have the v6....you have a chain(2nd gen) as well...the 2nd gen 4 bangers have chains also.....no real schedule for them.

    That was alot of my "not sure" I thought I remembered seeing that- But I wasn't sure.

    Thanks guys. Never realized that 2nd gen. had chains. Nothing in any of the literature about a T.chain. You'd think that the toyota people would tell you that but whatever.That answers that one. As for the tranny- I'll leave it alone unless I have major hauling or towing to do. (highly unlikely). Thank you all!

    The interesting thing is I just looked at the Toyota USA sked maintainence site and they don't have anything about a MUST change interval.

    60K is an inspection. And the WS ATF is rated to go pretty much forever. SOOO...The inspection should take care of keeping you in good fluid.

    They pussy foot around the matter in the US Owners Manual Supplement, stating to replace under special conditions such as towing - but neglect to tell you that stop and go city driving also falls under special operating conditions. This is listed at 60K miles NOW but used to be listed at 100K miles - Toyota changed it. It was always 60K miles in Canada (96,000 Kms).

    As for ATF WS lasting "pretty much forever", samples of WS that have been sent for analysis by other members and results show that it has a tendency to shear at lower than desirable mileage.

    What is "lower than desirable"??

    I didn't say forever...I said pretty much forever. I'd say a 100K miles rating (which is totally feasible) is damn near forever when it comes to car speak. That'd be 9 years for me. Sorry I wasn't specific enuf with my spelling it all out.

    I'm a maintenance freak but a new trans has got to go for $2-4,000. A trans flush has got to be less and cheap insurance IMHO.
