Sounds like he may have triggered a landslide before/during the crash. I wonder whether that trail will even be passable now? It was already quite narrow up on those switchbacks.

Everyone who grows up on the gulf is an expert on how to get stuff done after a hurricane. Look at who's pulling the most people out of their homes.... the citizens. I'm not worried about my truck, it can be replaced pretty easily as I work at a dealership. Not saying I want to fuck it up either. But getting to my family and helping them save as much as I can and bringing them food and whatever else they need is slightly more important. Getting everything out of the house that's wet is a top priority as well, in the south mold grows very fast. And my parents are nearly 60 years old, they need help with demoing walls and things. No ones going to help them do that other than family and friends at this point. Believe it or not I actually know what I'm doing

That might be a possibility but I'm leaving Saturday night so I think water levels will be a bit more manageable

Damn haha didn't take long to get spotted.

Trip went pretty well. Eleven year old cv boot finally cracked and my spares are packed deep in a pod at the moment:annoyed:

It's not funny and not a laughing matter.

However some incredibly knowledgable posters chimed in about your plan. Seems best advised to not attempt driving through such deep waters.

I hope everything works out for your friends and family. Materials lost is one thing, lives in another.

How long into the conversation before he asked if the bike was okay? 12 seconds?
