Sure for an emergency trail fix. DOT made them illegal quite a few years ago though. Tire shops aren't allowed to do it anymore, patch from the inside only.

Meh, I'd still run it as a permanent fix if it were me.

It has however it's believed to be the cause of tire failures also that's why it's now legal to do on street vehicles. Not saying I agree 100 percent but there's no arguement that a patch is better.

Didn't you recently install a lift kit on that thing?

I'm starting to believe there's as much a following for the 4Runner as there is the Taco...

Haha, no. This is a different 4Runner. This is the first one I bought from Dave about two years ago. It is a 1996 SR5 and it had a seized motor in it but was extremely clean, one owner truck. I started pulling the old motor but just got to busy to finish it so I sold it to a friend and he fixed it.

I then bought a running 1997 SR5 in the same color. But it wasn't nearly as clean, had a good amount of scratches, and had some chassis rot. That is the one I still have and have done a ton of work to it.

My friend finally finished the one I sold him and I am glad I did sell it, he had to put $4500 in to it to get it back on the road and through State Inspection. Had the motor rebuilt, new tires, all new brakes, replaced the upper and lower ball joints, exhaust and had all the fluids changed. But it runs like a top now! He parked it at my shop for now so we can throw bumpers on it.

Here goes nothing. i have an appointment Wednesday to have the frame inspected, according to the diagrams im eligible for a full frame replacement as ive got close to a 3" long by 4" tall section rusted through on the passenger side, and the frame is delaminating due to rust on the driver's side.

That's a new one. Best bet would probably be a spray. I've fought fleas in the house twice

Or a fogger. Do it with the seats in then remove the seats to dry and wash the covers
