Mold in my oil filler neck?

Here's something I haven't seen before:



That yellow-y stuff seems to be mucus, for lack of a better word. It's slimy, and it's coating my oil filler neck and cap.

Does my truck have a sinus infection, or is it something more sinister?

 

just condensation build up, not problem at all.

yup mine looks like that too.
Disgusting thick mucus boogers, all along the filler neck too.

 

I agree, I have had this problem in the past with different vehicles, I found that sometimes changing brands of oil (I said sometimes) would clear it up, Not sure but I think some vehicles just don't run hot enough to to get rid of the condensation or some oils require a higher temp to deplete it. Short drives will also contribute to this problem. I don't know if it would be a problem or not, but I just didn't like the looks of it, (jmop) Doc
