Sounds like if you're really stuck somewhere, engaging the locker is going to be very difficult.

Yea then one time I needed the locker before I couldn't get it to engage. It's noticeably easier now after the initial struggle to lock it. Pops in on it's own after just a few seconds of pressing the button

Not at all you just have to be familiar with it once you figure it out its easy.

Its amazing when your climbing up steep hill. If you engage the auto lsd 80% of the time if you feather the skinny pedal your truck will creep through shit.

I engage mine once a month. It is a lot easier to engage now compared to when the truck was brand new.Make sure you have a rear diff breather also dont want to get any water in there.

Naw not at all..... if you are stuck to the point of one tire spinning and the other not its real easy to get it to lock up even if you are only in 2wd. Switch to 4hi if it doesnt go immediately in, a smidge of gas to spin everything a bit so dog teeth in the tcase / add can line up, if you are still stuck, Neutral, 4lo will go right in as its just a plantary gear move within the tcase, then tap the locker, put it in drive n let of the brake slowly to allow one rear wheel to spin and walla rear locked.

The way the system is designed is you do not have to be moving to get anything in, you just have to have some slippage of one wheel.

If you have issues getting into 4hi / 4lo / rear locked, you either 1. do not know how to properly use those functions of your truck, 2. dont use them often enough that the actuators are stuck. #1 is WAY more common then #2
