I think Bobisthecoffeeguy.com did some tests, and found that the Base Starbucks coffee, is very similar in performance to the DD coffee. However, when adding a few extra Espresso shots to the Starbucks coffee, the performance improves WAY beyond the DD coffee.

I've read on TW that Bobisthecoffeeguy.com gives very good service. I would recommend him to the rest of the posters.[IMG]

Studies have shown that when told one vodka cost more then the other, (in a blind taste test) people agreed the higher dollar one tasted better. Because of Perception. Just sayin'

sorry to bring up an old thread...but i'm gunna be changing my oil over to sythetic mobil 1 in my 2010 for it's first oil change....the auto parts store has one of those deals for mobil 1 with a mobil 1 filter....just curious and i'm sure it's all a personal preference, but is there any benefit to using a toyota filter/vs a mobil 1 filter? i know the toyota one is longer, but if there's not huge benefit, then i'll just use the mobil 1 filter....

The Mobil 1 filter is an excellent filter. It filters down to 10 microns like the K&N (same filter). I would use it.

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
I agree, I don't use Mobil 1 filters but if they offer it with the oil for a good price, do it, as they are a very good filter. None of our stores in my area offer the oil and filter deal, if they did I would get it.

    not the same filter,
I've seperated the filters on a lathe and the elements are clearly different..
The K&N uses the same element as the Napa gold, Purolator and Wix..

Wix, IMHO has always made top quality filters of all kinds, I have a couple of friends who have hvy duty tow and contructions trucks and they use Wix filters as part of their regualar maint.

You may be right, but I was basing my info on this.

I ran Mobil 1 with Mobil 1 or Amsoil with Amsoil in my Dakota 9000 mile intervals.

I will be switching to either combo at 1000 miles

    DD coffee, LOL
There are at least 7 in a 5 mile radius of my house.
